May 5, 20224 yr My GTX 1080 card is probably coming to the end of its life with only 8gb. (Although still performing adequately). Two local online stores have what seems reasonably priced cards available with far more memory. An RTX 2060 with 12GB and an RTX 3060, also with 12 Gb both Palit brands. I won't mention the price, as it will mean nothing in ZARands to most people. But they are quite close to each other. Are these any good? Ian Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. GTX 1080 8gb.
May 5, 20224 yr Based on performance and possible release of the 4000 series later this year, I would personally go for the RTX 3060.
May 5, 20224 yr I have a RTX 3060 12GB and it runs p3dv5 with no issues whatsoever,never using more than 7GB of its memory and thats at a VRAM hungry Latin VFR LEMD.

May 7, 20224 yr Given the choice between an RTX 2060 and an RTX 3060, I would buy the RTX 3060. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
