May 9, 20224 yr Gravity on Venus is almost equal to that on Earth. Mars has only about 40%. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. May 9, 20224 yr We know that traveling through space without a gravitational field causes biological changes. Those biological changes aren't an issue if they are reversible when a gravitational field is reaplied, drugs can mitigate it, excercise can mitigate it, or excercise can mitigate it, or some other intervention counters it. Rotating the craft during flight so that centrifugal force mimics a gravitational field could also be an option. Getting there quicker with nuclear thermal propulsion is an option. The point, is that there's much to learn and we will learn. As for research... it has to be replicated and a body of evidence present before its significant.

It is now, we've been doing it a long time now. The faster we travel, with nuclear thermal or nuclear electric or some other means of propulsion the less of an issue the transit becomes. And we don't really know how much of an impact "lower than Earths gravity" is. My guess is that its a sliding scale and that there's a threshold above which lower that 1G isn't an issue. We are also currently looking at drugs to mitigate the impact of low gravity and zero gravity. There are resources out there that we need, and that means profit for companies, there are also numerous other reasons why we need to be out there, some of them political so I cant talk about them here. And for "gravity plates" that depends if some kind of anti-gravity technology is possible and we don't know if it is or isn't. If anti-matter falls up, maybe. 😁 Otherwise to counter the effect of the Earths gravity you would need a body with equal mass.
