Download speeds for me were in the 500-600 range.I got the bundle. No time yet to give a detailed report but the first thing I noticed was the great haze and visibilty effects.Alot of menu options but on my setup, the right side of the menu is chopped off. The side that has all the cloud settings.Might be my ultr high rez settings. So far both areas Ive flown with real weather the fps was really good. One area was 9 mile vis scattered haze.I did not see the dreaded in/out vis problems.Other area was keyw with clear skies. The vis effects and the lighting work really well.

What Damian said plus also it looks kind of like X-Graphics is what AEU (Airport Environment Upgrade) was to FS2004...plus more. AEU was just airport things like taxiways, and the like.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

Okay, but er... should I wait for Ground Environment for FSX...? Doesn't it share something with X-Graphics...? Main question: if this is all looking better, and if so, will it hurt fps? Or does it also have performance enhancements? (Maybe I just should read the blurb on the site... ;) )Okay, started reading: what is 'User-freindly interface'...? :(

Hi,Not familiar with that product or its potential availability.... we did compatibility integration with the FS2004 product but have not heard anything in quite a while. X Graphics should work fine with any other add-on even if certain categories of textures are shared, by using the advanced options to turn categories on/off.FPS is not affected unless you turn up cloud resolution (optional, and may not negatively affect you regardless). We default at normal FSX resolutions so there is no penalty here. Thanks for the catch on the text.Best,

>Thanks for the catch on the text. You're welcome. (I see it's already corrected: very good! I have found errors here and there more often but very often the company who 'owns' the site doesn't do anything about it... which doesn't make me feel better about that specific company...). How many errors do I have to find in order to get a coupon for a free or cheaper copy? ;)Anyway, it all looks very cool, but... I have one more question. It seems clouds are VERY important in X-Graphics. But will I see a huge difference if I do NOT buy Active Sky also? I mean, don't you need that in order to get all those beatifull clouds placed up in the air in the right place?Okay, one more (or maybe I should visit a specific forum for this all?): is it possible to get WANTED unrealistic results with both programs? Like beatifull stormy coulds and skies but... without the actual wind that normally comes with it...? I'm asking because I (am one of those guys who) always fly with winds turned off because I do not have rudderpedals... and landing in a crosswind is quit hard than.Feel free to elaborate and promote the programs at will! :(

Hi again,ASX is a weather generator, X Graphics is a graphics upgrade that also upgrades clouds. If you're justing looking for enhanced graphics with default weather then just X Graphics will work great. If you want a much more realistic and challenging weather experience will full graphical weather mapping, weather gauge, hurricanes, etc, then look into ASX :)X Graphics is not related to weather generation so it won't do anything regarding limiting winds, etc. But ASX fully supports this by providing minimum and maximum settings in many categories (winds, visibility, turbulence, etc). Maximum Surface Wind would be the one you want, you can even set this to 0.Best,

And thx again. ;) X-Graphics is defenitely on my list of addons to watch closely. I'm also very interested in the waterimprovements (for instance different inland waters, if I'm right) because although I love water at 2x high (ever since SP1) I do no really like it for rivers and small lakes. The waves are just too big and the color is too bright. Couldn't really find any good pictures off the different possibilities on the X-Graphics site, but I'm sure they will popup during the comings days. I have the idea a lot of people have been wating for these programs, so... I'll keep an eye on the screenshotforum too!ASX also has my interests but because I usually fly with a few scattered clouds and no real weather I doubt if I need that one (keeping in mind the cost, that is). Anyway, it's nice to see some real quality addons for FSX appear now! :)

Looks great, I'll be watching the screenshot gallery. 70 bucks is a bit on the steep side for me, but I'm sure it's worth it. It'll be nice to get some better cloud textures floating around the fsx skies.

Does X Graphics have enhanced lighting? The neat 3D feature of UT was the city lighting which looked like it had dimensions e.g. height.

I just bought it. It is amazing. There is so much between the two programs to discover it will take a while to see all they can do.But the attention to detail in program interface, ease of use, and number of options is incredible. The numbers of combinations of settings of textures is overwhelming-clouds, sky, airports, water, roads and rails, light and sound .The weather display screen is a thing of beauty...When persons ask why it has taken so long for add in programs like this to come out the answer is here. It is just an exponential improvement over the fs9 version. I can't figure out how they got it out this quickly. Congratulations to the Hifi team and lucky us!http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172764.jpg
