Still not on Marketplace, as of 16:10z  (3 hours after Steve's post above).

.....and my son is not happy!   I posted on the MSFS forum using his account, urging MS to hurry up and get this released as many are anticipating it, and we're being given no explanations for the delays.   It was deleted by a mod and he was given a warning! 😁

Very sensitive these MS people.    I bought my son some FIFA points to make up for it. 😎

Wow...i just checked too....MP was offline for a few...thought that HAD to be it....nope...plane STILL NOT THERE!

And thus the reason for the "angst" with the MP! 🤬

Ok guys, Market place people confirmed, Sting S4 will be released today 27th of May by noon Pacific Time.

I....I....I bought it, and....and....the Marketplace worked first time!  ......and.....and it's just finished downloading..... and....and......my daughter just arrived with a huge bag of popcorn, to watch the new Stranger Things.

Why is life so hard!  😁

Luckily I've already seen how amazing it is, from Fabio's stream.   I can wait, now I have her in the hangar.

Should we make a new thread for this to announce it is released? I think a new thread to announce the release is good publicity for @Simbol's work. And it's customary to start a new thread for the release of a new plane.

yes, and while we are at it: can someone please explain what makes this one so special (apart from the BSR) compared to the default Diamond DA40, VL3 Evolution, Cub crafters or the Vans RV14 at 20€ ?

Google "Flying Fabio Sting S4", it's a 3 hour Twitch vid but you don't have to watch it all.

The DA40, VL3, etc, don't even have opening doors.   This aircraft has maintenance management, down to the light bulbs!  .... and yes, that BRS parachute.

It's all about the huge amounts of ambience, immersion and depth of simualtion with this one.

LoL....well if you know Fabio, you know know you're in for a long haul.  When the 737 released, watching him and Chewwy, he was still going over some preflight procedures while Chewwy was already about half way to his destination.🤣

One thing to note...if Fabio is reviewing it AND has Raul on the stream, you can rest assured its a special aircraft, and I (and many others) who watched the stream can concur.

Of course....its value to you is subjective, so you'll have to do your own research and determine if its something you want to pick up.

You were 100% right. I spent quite a few hours doing circuits in VR today despite my limited time (it works beautifully in VR btw).
