Just out of curiosity, I know ASOBO has been "eager" to revamp the old FSX turbine physics. Has there been any talk that ASOBO might spare you the dev costs, by updating the native physics? I mean it would really suck to spend money to build an external engine, and then ASOBO comes out with realistic adverse yaw and turbine physics the day after.

Veeeeeery frankly speaking I know about as much as you do. We have no contact with the Asobo development team at all and have 0 insight into what they are and aren't doing. As far as I know, it's something that they want to do at some point - but nothing formal has been announced, and given their workload, I would expect anything "new" to take a little while. But that's a guess.

At the end of the day - this external engine model is also important to properly do the three-spool IAE engine, as otherwise we'll simply be doing a very rudimentary representation with a lot of "faked" effects (EPR et al), which doesn't sit well with me and the team. So you gotta risk it for a biscuit, and we'll happily spend the money even if only to "bridge" the gap for a little bit.

Plus there's fun effects we can introduce with it. Will save the details for later 😄

Hi Aamir while you're here I was wondering if you can speak to the new soft body physics, CFD, and other stuff that came in >=SU9... are any of these features worthy of enabling or building upon in the Fenix A320?

I'd like to hook into this question. @Aamir, are you guys happy with the flight model? Are there improvements to come? You hear some criticism regarding the pitch attitude after takeoff and at landing. Is this on your radar? Can you even work around possible MSFS limitations? One of the typical things I often notice is that heavy aircraft seem to be affected too much by wind or float endlessly on flare.

You will bewtter understand why after watching the following video:

Airbus A320 CBT #037 Pressurization - System Presentation - YouTube

The ADIRS being one of the systems used by the CPCs ( 1 & 2 ), while these aren't in NAV that message will be displayed as a warning.

i'm licensed a/c maint technician at 320, but our 320's(neither neo's nor cfm's) is not giving this fault. maybe this is a different configuration.

Yes... But at the end, our company's a320's does not give this fault after switching power on.

Probably some state variable left from the previous flight session in the Fenix ?

Will have to ask some of my glider colleagues who happen to be Airbus drivers too 🙂
