Advice for new mid-sized aircraft

What is a midsized aircraft hehe?  To me that's like a Saab 340 or DC3 hehe.

We don't really have any of those so I'd just recommend the C414 from FSW or Kodiak from SWS.

Man I want a good, highly functioning SAAB or a 1900 in the sim... selfishly because I have real world time on those platforms, and when I have time to sim it is 1-2 hour hops which those are perfect for, not to mention flying those into small airports are lots of fun.

I'd love either of those....or a king air 200 or C90 either with the old Collins or the newer-ish Proline 21.  Someone's making a c90 with g1000 nxi - there are a few real world aftermarket versions like that.

We have the EMB-110. Some people don't like it but I fly it a lot and love it.

Both Asobo and Milviz are working on the ATR 42-600/72-600 and I'm really looking forward to the 42 which would fit in perfectly along the lines of regional commuter/freight.

For the OP purposes, Kodiak would be my first choice, but I agree with others, it is too similar to the Caravan. That leaves the Twin Otter or the Islander. I have all three of these aircraft, and I would personally choose to fly the Twin Otter over the Islander. I think it's a decent aircraft in MSFS, and I don't get bored flying it, whilst I do get bored flying the Islander. I would like to give an honorable mention to both the Bae146 and the FSW Cessna 414. Both of those would be great alternate choices, if and when you want to spend the money.

Yes. I really liked the 90 in FSX (Carenado). Good times. And of course the turbine duke.

Get the Milviz C310 and call it the day. Its the best at 40 U.S.D and below well maybae not the B247 at its price.

I have done many hours in AirHauler using the WT CJ4.  Great price also (free) and one of the best aircraft in the sim!  I can also highly recommend the Kodiak..but will be similar to the Caravan.
