Oh Jeez...Trees!

Featured Replies

Can someone go to KSYR (Syracuse, New York)  and see it they see the same thing I do?  I just landed there and there were trees everywhere, including the runways, taxiways, aprons, etc.  Is it just me?

Just loaded in and flew around. No tree's on the runway, taxiway, apron, or roads. Lots around Syracuse and some along the roads in the airport vicinity, but it all looks natural and accurate.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Here's mine with Google Maps + Bijan's Trees

Here's how it looks without Google Maps. Not much of a difference, I'd say.

Probably some baked in imagery. Just mentioned I was using it, just in case.

I found it interesting, because it's the first area I specifically compared. When checking both Google Maps and Bing Maps (throught the native Windows 10 app) side by side, this is actually one of the areas where Bing Maps has a much higher resolution ground image.

There is a closed runway with buildings and green on it. Maybe that confused you
