Aerosoft Account Ban after Twotter comment

Recommended Posts

Hello- after posting over at Aerosoft and lamenting the lack of communication in re. any promised Twotter development, I was permanently banned.... any ideas on what I do as a paying customer? I don't know what affront my post may have caused, but to be summarily banned over a query about a product I paid for seems unseemly....perhaps MK or mopperle (the individual who banned me) or someone at AS stops by here and can assist me in figuring out how I access their forums again? I believe I am still entitled to support, nicht?

I searched for the Twotter thread that precipitated this, but that was closed here.... and I can't inquire there as each time I try and log in, it says I'm banned... befuddled...

Sadly, censorship seems to be very much on the rise these days.

Do Aerosoft have a "Support for limited users" forum, like Orbx used to have before they made all their support forums read only?
At Orbx, one can submit a "support ticket" now and I don't think that anyone has been banned from that yet.
Aerosoft seem to have much the same thing? Submit a request – Aerosoft

LOL - I used the Twotter for 15 minutes since I got it.  What a piece of junk.  Haven't figured out to uninstall it yet.

Carl, I recall from somewhere that you belong to the wider crew of PMDG. Would it be a good idea to email Mathijs Kok directly?

What you can do? Review their products (those you have) on every available market/seller. Trust me, a couple of low ratings because of awful & disrespectful support can change a lot of things inside a company. Not to sure about Aerosoft, though, since they seem to revel in bad PR...

Michael- that's a good idea, thanks!  BTW I am not part of PMDG in any capacity, just a beta tester for them.

Thanks for sharing this happening. More disrespect for a paying customer isn't possible.

I just read what @JRBarrett wrote and I'll wait to see if it was just a simple error.

What was the account name you used when you made the post? Since I have moderation privileges in the CRJ forum, I can see moderation actions in other forums. It said the account “Carl-Avari Cooper” was closed because you already had an existing account “cavaricooper”. Perhaps you had forgotten about the other account if you have not posted at Aerosoft in a long time? I know that even here at Avsim, a single user cannot have multiple accounts under different names.

The note doesn’t indicate that you did anything wrong other than that.

Jim- ok.. would you please tell me how can I access that?  Every time I go to the page it tells me I'm banned... it would be great if it was just stupidity on my part....

You just need to log in using "cavaricooper", anyone can see that account by searching members.
However, it only has three posts and the last one was in January.
