July 19, 20223 yr I see it occasionally in live weather but it's now a rare occurrence. I haven't seen it for at least a month. It used to be just the opposite, with lightning and thunder pummeling us with one puffy cloud in the sky. I hope they will find a happy medium some day. Randall Rocke

The funny thing was there were no clouds in the sky. So, yes, it's broken. I guess this is related to the issue where some airports with thunderstorms reported in the metar not having any clouds anywhere near the airport. July 19, 20223 yr I had a flight into KIAD on Sunday. Convective Sigmets in real world. Had quite a bit of lightning on approach in the sim. EddieKABQ
