June 25, 200718 yr Dave,Have you udated the airlines/call sign list to reflect what we can out there today? Also, we used some "less than accurate" callsigns when we made those recordings - have you been able to correct those? BobK
June 25, 200718 yr Hi BobKHope you don't mind the sample being there, let me know if you do and I'll remove it.The question of royalties, although I assume was meant with tongue-in-cheek, is an interesting one. We are including the ProFlight 2000 program with the Deluxe version only of PFE, under special license from the original publisher and developers for those who no longer have their original copies or those who never owned it in the first place. I can't remember what the deal was back in 2000, when ProFlight was first released, despite being one of the 'voices' myself ;-) but I think it was a free copy of the product.I'll certainly give it some thought and if I can work out a way of confirming a 'I was that voice' claim I might be able to offer a special discount. I'll announce such at the time of release on our website so please stay tuned.CheersDave March http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/forum_images/fdc_dev.jpgEmail:[email protected] Website:http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk
June 25, 200718 yr No such additions or corrections could be made without getting all the original voice authors to take to the microphone again, which would be an impossible task.CheersDave March http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/forum_images/fdc_dev.jpgEmail:[email protected] Website:http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk
June 26, 200718 yr I was thinking along the lines of what we do for FS ATC now with Voice Editor - just using parts of existing words and phrases co create the new one. If a version of Voice Editor worked with the ProFlight voices.... I can't wait to check this out though. ;) BobK
June 26, 200718 yr My tongue is always firmly in cheek Dave. ;) I remember you from the beta testing days. I had several arguments with Marty regarding phrasology and call signs. We got a free copy and a CD mounted in plasti, but that was fine with me. I was kind of honored that we're all still in the new release. It sounds like a pretty good idea to bring this program back to life. Looking forward to seeing it out there again. BobK
June 26, 200718 yr Ah right, understood. We have already created some new wav files by editing existing ones but not to do with any call signs.CheersDave March http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/forum_images/fdc_dev.jpgEmail:[email protected] Website:http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk
