What's with this passenger models? They are the same ones that are used in almost every single airport addon that has animated passengers in the terminals. It would be nice to see new models to be a bit less repetitive. They are a well traveled bunch, that's for sure.

I was wondering when this would come up:

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/596360-people-inside-terminals/?do=findComment&comment=4762379

This was in April, and back then we promised to offer from 50 to 60 passenger models and, as of today, we have exactly 53 different passenger models, and 18 of them are from that pack sold on Turbosquid which other developers used.

The number will *obviously* increase a lot in the future.

It looks like click-to-place isn't in the MSFS version of GSX, which is a huge, huge bummer and probably thanks to another Asobo limitation

EVERYTHING that might look "strange" or not exactly as you wanted to be, it's because of SDK limitations:

- The GSX menu has been replicated using a fairly complex coordination between HTML + JS + WASM, to overcome the fact the MSFS SDK has killed the Simconnect Menu, which has been there since FSX and, in addition to that, after SU5, Javascript code gets killed as soon the calling Toolbar panel gets closed AND, we want to be absolutely sure we are not causing *any* (ZERO) fps loss when the menu is not open.

- There's no mouse support whatsoever in add-ons that need to interact with the 3d external view, like in P3D. The simulator is obviously capable of doing it, since in Dev Mode you CAN click and drag stuff to create a scenery, but this function is not accessible to 3rd party add-on. We have been obviously asked for it since more than a year, in addition to a proper camera API, which has been requested by many developers.

This will also make placing vehicles a chore. I hope this changes in the future but that's kind of deflating for me tbh.

No, it will not. It only takes a bit of practice. I never used the mouse in P3D either, even if we do have it there. Keyboard is way faster, once you know they keys and, when you do a 200-parking spot customization at, let's say, KORD, you learn the keys very quickly...

Watched the entire video, great stuff. But er........ one of the reasons I was getting interested in GSX is the pushback option it offers. It should be great, so I was told. All the other stuff is great too, obviously, but not something I will use each and every flight (depending on the time I have). However, the pushback I would like to use every time.

So it was with great anticipation that I watched the pushback part of this video. Now the default left or right options look simple enough and great but the 'quick' planner option (or whatever it was called) is a bit of a joke imho... I was hoping for something easy to use as the famous Toolbar Pushback utility (which unfortunately doesn't work well with the Fenix A320) but this is nothing like it. It's cumbersome, slow (not quick at all, having to use all those keys in order to get somewhere) and not really very intuitive with those F-keys. Totally NOT what I expected to see and hoped for.

So... question: will this be simplified in the near future? Or is this it?

Well I'd argue in 95% of all pushbacks a "left" or "right" onto the actual taxiline is all you need, isn't it? You are not gonna be pushed back right up to the runway. For the remaining 5% it might take you 10 seconds to set the map up with the keys. So what were you expecting? It doesn't get any easier than one-click-to-the-taxiline.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Yeah, well... you've got a point there. 😉

The one thing to remember is that GSX saves any changes you make to vehicle positions, push back, etc. at a gate to a file. When you use that same gate in the future, the push back you created will still be there and you will see the left, right, and custom push backs to choose from in the list. So yes, it's a pain, but only once per gate.

I agree. Once you learn which keys to use, its no more difficult than operating a typical FPS game.

Nice. I do suppose that file (or those files?) can be saved somehow in case you need to reinstall everything on a new PC or something like that?

It's only a matter of perspective, and understanding how it *really* works, because some reviewers, wanting to be as quick as possible to publish a review, didn't seem to take enough time to really learn how it works.

What seems to elude most, is how waypoints work. They think in term of "waypoints", so every video I saw, they put waypoints in the wrong places, and use way more waypoints that is necessary. Those are not really waypoints: they are control points to make smooth curve, which is calculated by fitting a simulation of the *actual* pushback vehicle with the *actual* plane you have loaded IN THE PREVIEW. The editor is simulating all pushback calculation in the background, while your are moving the waypoints.

This means several things:

- You can use WAY less waypoints that you might expect. Because waypoints can be rotated too, and that's affects how the curve behaves.

- You can be absolutely sure the path taken by the pushback will be *exactly* like the one you saw during Preview. Pushback *accuracy* and precision is our N.1 goal.

- You will see the pushback on the actual scenery, not a 2D view. Being able to use the Drone camera to change the viewing angle will allow you to use the purposely long cursors to make it way easier to achieve a perfect alignment of the final position on the actual taxilines.

Some reviewers are taking way longer than necessary, because they want to place several waypoints, when usually two, three at most are enough (maybe 4 with very long routes), they don't use the "Wizard" (NumPad 5) which will place automatically two waypoints in a sensible position to get you started, and they seem to miss the role of the last waypoint, which straighten up the last part of the route, so the airplane and the truck will always end aligned and not skewed.

USUALLY, the workflow is:

- Move the airplane to the final position with the Arrow keys, using Shift to move faster

- Rotate it with NumPad 1/3 (+ Shift to rotate it faster ), OR with F7/F8

- Once you are happy with the final position, press NumPad + 5, to have two waypoints automatically placed in reasonable positions to make the first part and the last part of the route straight.

- Press Enter to accept the route, and it's Done. Is THAT easy.

The NumPad 5 "wizard" will get you going in most cases, it's only when the route gets complex that you'll might need to either move those waypoints or add new ones or rotate them, like in tricky places where there's no space to turn.

I'll buy it.

Video was very interesting.

Which airliners will this work with?

The Asobo's that come with MSF?

3rd party, such as the PMDG's, MD-80, Fenix and so on?

It will work with every airliner (or non airliners, like the CJ4). "Work" means that it will do all the visual stuff and a perfect pushback. For visual accuracy (like: Where exactly is the aircraft door?) aircraft might need a configuration file, which for PMDG et al. will probably be delivered with GSX itself. For more rare aircraft you can either create it yourself in-game via a menu or download someone else's file. I guarantee within three days after release you will find every aircraft config you want on flightsim.to.
As for "work" in a sense that it actually refuels and loads your aircraft, this needs integration by 3rd party airplanes; default aircraft should work out-of-the-box.

EDIT: By the way sorry virtuali if I'm telling something incorrect, just trying to give you a hand so you can concentrate on releasing it instead of answering questions all day long 😉

Looks like it's been released:

Please understand that, if you use that URL we haven't linked to buy it, you won't be able to download anything, because we still haven't finished to set up the release server. I suggest not do it and wait for the whole site to become live. I kindly ask you to edit your post, and the remove that link.

Ah no worries. Got it from a twitch stream I was watching, will hold fire. I've edited the post as requested!
