Am I insane for thinking it was higher at one point than $9.99?  I paid at least that much on iOS so we're talking (does some maths and averages) ... oh I don't know that'd be somewhere around $200 million.

At $0.99 that's $20 million.

And that can get you a lot of developers.

Probably because it’s not a fact? 

Afraid of? Nothing. I simply think XP12 isn’t what I expected. Nor many others by the looks of the comments here and elsewhere.

Keep in mind XBox has been a large market for driving the flight simluation peripherial recovery.  

Believe it or not, it's "just a computer", not unlike your own.  Hook up a USB-3 keyboard, mouse, radio stack and yoke and you are off on your next adventure.

But its "residual income", their bread and butter is the commercial/aviation market, we just get cheap and easy access to that innovation and priorities.

Im sure they will get round to an xbox/ps5 release eventually. I suspect that is what a lot of the "la la la's" are afraid of - some actual competition.

Although the way the steam deck is dominating that market, much less sure now they will actually bother. They are already there with little to no additional effort. We'll get some numbers soon once XP12 is available on steam.

This simply isn't true ... absolutely none of this will happen (and you can mark my words).

There will be no X-Plane on consoles, and the Steam Deck is far from "dominating" any market.

I can only assume you are paid for this, and I don't like to call people out like that.

But you're either paid or this is not logical.

well, xbox would be fairly easy given the new series is just windows with some extra drm.

PS5 would be harder because Sony actually take quality control very seriously, and not even microsoft managed to overcome that hurdle.

Steam deck isnt that far from dominating, "next gen" consoles have been a massive flop, with poor reviews and no interesting titles to justify the expense. Steam deck is replacing peoples personal laptops and the nintendo switch - with the switch being by far the current market leader for gaming.

I fully expect XP12 to join the steam deck up at the top of that list (once it releases), just like i expected MSFS to fall from it quickly after they failed to deliver on their promises.

As an XP dev I do have a vested interest in seeing that happen. That is hardly a secret. Although I wouldnt expect my ramblings to effect it one way or another.

I've read tons of comments on YouTube from people asking for a refund on XP12. Surprising everyone, LR offered a demo version on the early access preliminary beta prototype preview alpha, instead of waiting for the "final" version to release a demo. LR knew that selling the current version to customers without a demo would result in massive requests for refunds. The demo is a form of disaster management.

Or do you mean people expecting to fly an aircraft but were incapable of trying the free demo and think youtube is the place to ask for a refund were commenting on videos... If so I wouldnt recommend paying any attention to people with that level of intellect tbh, do you?
