September 15, 20223 yr From the other forums someone stated :- Realize the maintainer of ortho4xp hasn't been seen for years. As of now, the only work is to see how we can run a script to update existing entries. is that true?!
September 15, 20223 yr Last visit to the org in summer, so no. Also it's open source. https://github.com/oscarpilote/Ortho4XP Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉
September 15, 20223 yr I really hope someone picks this up and updates it. Would be a huge loss if this ends up being dead. Baber My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive
September 15, 20223 yr It seems to be, that their are same people who takes care of the watermaks and structure/ depth of the ground under water. They need data from Laminar Research. I think that their will come a script. My Youtube Channel Hardware Intel i5 12600k OC5,2 GHz, Gigabyte Z690 UD, Gigabyte RTX 4070TI Gaming OC, Corsair Vegeance RGB 32GB Kit CL16
September 15, 20223 yr Can someone please update me on this? I can still make ortho for XP11.5+ and then use it in XP12...is this related to the autogen and forests and such not being compatible? Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
September 15, 20223 yr The orthophotos have nothing to do with autogen and trees, they all work. Also snow is seen on orthos. With the orthos you can see the new water and the new waves, but you dont habe 3D waves so an plane with waterskies on the water dosent schake. Seems like old ortho works mostly, you just loose the water effects. To support those in the future, either Ortho4XP needs to be updated or XP needs to be changed. If there are no other limitations. September 16, 20223 yr I think foliage biome info is another feature that will be missing from v11 ortho4xp tiles, in addition to no 3D water. Could be wrong there though. 2D water uses the same rendering algorithm as 3D, so from altitude it looks virtually identical (plus or minus some beta bugzzz). For short waves you can't tell a difference until you try to touch down on it. It's true. Oscar hasn't been seen for quite a while and is unlikely to return to fame. https://github.com/Ortho4XP/Ortho4XP This is a fork of O4xp that has had relatively recent commits by the one person who has had permission to update Oscar's repository over the years. They posted the link above in the .org. It's only a matter of time before it gets updated to support 12. How much time remains to be seen. Could be a while because the SDK hasn't even been released yet. At the least, they are busy right now trying to figure out how to reverse engineer the stuff showing up in the beta dirs. Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

This is not done via the UI but instead in the configuration files. I did it all the times to minimize the overly greenish tint of Bing imagery

Is there a better and easier way ? Baber My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive
September 16, 20223 yr in the ortho4xp folder structure there is one called filters, in there there should be some default ones that you can use as reference. You can change the levels for the three channels R G B ad also modify brightness and contrast For example: levels 0 0.95 255 0 255 0 1 255 0 255 0 1.05 255 0 255 brightness-contrast -25 10 The above would decrease the R channel to 0.95 of the original value and increase the B channel to 1.05 Then decrease brightness by -25% and increase contreast by 10% See also this link on how to get the filter to be used by your image provider of choicehttps://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/169759-how-to-change-the-color-tones-for-a-source-in-v130/ Keep in mind this gets applied across all images for the provider, if you only need to color correct a few ones your method is the only way I know of.

I assumed perhaps I shouldn't have. I was assuming that only some photos needed to be matched with others, and I personally believe some other software if one knows how to do it can be used for that purpose.
