IniBuilds Los Angeles - Bad Performance

Recommended Posts

My performance is amazing here. No stutters or low FPS drops.

Did you uninstall the asobo Lax ?

I'm having stutters, too and Asobo KLAX is not installed.  Feelthere KLAX performance seems to be much better so I will stick with that for now.

Their (Inibuilds) San Antonio KSAT scenery is also quite demanding in terms of fps. Something this developer has to continue working on.

I installed it yesterday and have FPS locked at 50% of screen resolution and even with the new traffic add-on I'm still getting green 30 FPS.

I don't have IniScene  KLAX. But I have TLOD at 200 and get no stuttering anywhere. For instance not at IniScene Heathrow (2560x1440 monitor).

The reason IniScene's airports have performance issues, is because their scenery has more in it than most. The files sizes are huge for that reason.

The reason Filbert reported no problems at KLAX is probably because he says he is using 2560 x 1080 monitor (25" 1080p wide screen). That is denser than a normal aspect ratio 1080p monitor (1920 x 1080), but not even as dense as a normal ratio 1440p monitor (2560 x 1440).

...and the fact he wasn't running an AI traffic addon.

he has made an update, and that is working better, I believe version 1.07 now. Hope they do this with KLAX also.

I usually have frames locked to 40 but even with 30 I get stutters.

With the new traffic app cranked up to max I had some occasional ones so I set it much lower.  I wonder if a mainframe supercomputer could run any sim maxed out and have it smooth and perfect.  It has always seemed to me that software outpaces hardware very quickly.

MSFS is definitely not outpacing hardware lol. All that FSX code is not taking full advantage of the new hardware.

anybody with stutters/low fps ever checked their VRam in use? I have seen over 18 GB on my RTX 3090, anything below an RTX 3090 has less VRam, like 11 GB and I wouldn't be surprised if that causes memory swapping > stutters in dense scenery areas with high resolution airport textures. I have never ever seen any game/app that uses all my 24 GB. even a 16 GB RTX 4080 might get limited, that only leaves the RTX 4090 again 😀

I didn't look but I have 11GB...I feel like the iniBuilds sceneries are a bit rushed and not well optimized at release...

I also made tests, I find that the scene is rather well optimized after all depends on the configurations for my part I receive 44 FPS with the scene of INI and 45 FPS with the scene of ASOBO of LAX with Fenix A320.
I activated FSLTL and there my performance dropped to 30 FPS or even 25 FPS depending on the number of flight plan.
Clearly they did not test at all with FSLTL

that's a very good point iflySimX about the scenery possibly being rushed.  I know when Flightbeam is making a release, they take their time. and make sure all the dots are right,  when u look at KLAX, their is a lot of stuff in their. I might try to lower some of my settings.

I'm sorry but I'm not going to re-configure my setting just for ONE airport. I wish they would take more time to iron things out.

I have same the CPU and a better GPU and you are still getting performance...Interesting.
