IniBuilds Los Angeles - Bad Performance

That’s why we all would have preferred that Flightbeam release LAX instead of Inibuilds.

anybody with stutters/low fps ever checked their VRam in use? I have seen over 18 GB on my RTX 3090, anything below an RTX 3090 has less VRam, like 11 GB and I wouldn't be surprised if that causes memory swapping > stutters in dense scenery areas with high resolution airport textures. I have never ever seen any game/app that uses all my 24 GB. even a 16 GB RTX 4080 might get limited, that only leaves the RTX 4090 again 😀

using DX12 - RTX 3090 - VR

I've never seen that high of usage on my 3090.  I think mine hovers around 11 iirc.

even fs dreamteam for KLAX, had it in FSX and worked great, hopefully they will have some kind of an update soon!!!  This is a gorgeous airport.

Some people are going back to the studio driver and saying that's helped a bit.  I don't have everything on MAX, but close.  The main thing for me is TLOD on 100 and I think buildings on 150.  That's running 4K at 60hz.

In the FNX at KLAX on the ground I get around 40+ powered off.  Haven't done a flight yet, but I expect around high 20's to low 30's (smooth) similar to EGLL.  That's normal with un-optimized PG all around and given the FNX display hit.  Side note, they are re-writing the displays with the newer method.  I think Dave or Amir said they did those pre-release or something.  Can't remember right off.

Right now, I'm on DX12 (game ready) and DLSS (quality).  I think I have water waves and clouds on high.  I'd have to check.  Not much difference having them on ultra.  I think I might even have grass on high also.   Everything else on ultra.

Are you on VR o monitor?

In summary, in order to use this scenery you mostly need to turn down settings you otherwise could have had higher and many other even more detailed airports. It's unfortunate but oh well, it's still a great scenery. Terrain LOD was the main thing bottlenecking it for me.

My performance is amazing here. No stutters or low FPS drops.

Did you uninstall the asobo Lax ?

So we gotta delete official Asobo airport folders (for better fps) ?

Will those official airports cone back after updates?

I'm having stutters, too and Asobo KLAX is not installed.  Feelthere KLAX performance seems to be much better so I will stick with that for now.

I'm using Feelthere too. Great FPS. I have not purchased KLAX IniScene (I don't buy addons that aren't on sale).

Latest update from the iniBuilds page. Nothing on performance updates.

iniScene Los Angeles (KLAX) v1.01 is now available. This update resolves a few minor bugs, including elevation issues on runways.

v1.01

- Missing jetway at Gate 80
- Jetway connection alignment at Gate 159
- LOD1/2 Geometry issues on TBIT Main terminal
- Removed existing runway profiles (terraforming) and replaced with a simple slope. This is to try and resolve PG tearing.

How do you uninstall a default airport? It does not exclude it like in P3D?

just uninstall in your content manager in msfs. No deleting of folders required. I think this is only required with the deluxe version.

Thanks for the info on how to uninstall a default airport. I am just getting into MSFS from P3D. I find it odd that a 3rd party scenery does not simply overwrite the default via an exclude like it does in P3D. So if one wants to reinstall the default, how do you go about that? Is a reinstall of MSFS or repair required?

It’s easy, just search for it in content manager.

Sorry, i don't understand, if you uninstall it, it then just gets removed from the sim but stays in content manager folder for a reinstall later?
