Forbidden Planet is among my top 10. When it first hit the screens I watched it three days in a row. As far as the original of The Thing...I was 10 years old when it was released and after watching it I couldn't sleep for two days 🙂.

The one that got me the most was the original War of the Worlds!  It was a Saturday afternoon and Mom was working and Dad was minding my sister and me.  He took us to the afternoon matinee.  Scared the beejeezers outta me!

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Ya know Charlie, a lot of tricky things happen with your memory when you get to be my age.  I just fixed the post with the edit tab.  I do it so often now it doesn't embarrass me anymore.  No apology.  Just another 'Oh Well'.

CRS is indeed annoying.  While watching When The Earth Stood Still it kicked in again.  I said to Betty, "That car, that, that, that, well anyway that was the ugliest car ever made."  I know it now.  It was an old Nash.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

I remember that my dad had a 1951 Nash Rambler parked in our driveway in OKC while he was an instructor at the FAA Academy.  He never got around to getting it running for the several years we lived there. I have no idea whatever became of it when we moved to the DC area when he received his next assignment. Yes, it was truly one of the ugliest cars ever made. 😲 However, later models '54 until end of production were much improved in the looks department.

Nostalgia: Remember this song? It was actually on the Top Ten list for about six months!
