FS2020+ DLSS3 review

I believe DLSS 3 will be available for 30 series as well, but it won't be as efficient as the 40 series due to some extra hardware on the 40 series.
And they'll probably wait until they've sold a bunch of 40 series.

But currently with DLSS 2 on 3440x1440 I can run about 100 FPS in rural areas, or about 50-60 FPS in complex scenery. Some dips when looking in certain directions.
I think I'd benefit more from a CPU upgrade.

5800x3d would be the best bet, I have 5900x too. Ive had it in the checkout basket a few times but thought to wait for the 7700x3d/7900x3d instead.

Yep I'm considering the 5800X3D as well, but I'm waiting for a better price on it. One interesting thing I saw on some AMD presentation was that they're continuing updates on the AM4 (5000 series) platform alongside the new AM5. But it could be laptop chips which would be irrelevant.

Same boat .. that makes three of us ..I think the sim is performing very well as it stands (at my desired resolution)  so i can probably hold out for whatever 7 series X3d AMD comes out with .. coupled with a 4080 16GB if this DLSS3 meets both my quality and perf expectations.

Was really hoping they would have given us a 5900x3d though but meh..

I disagree with the TLOD and I personally can see a difference. I also see a difference in resolution.

Not from my viewing distance and sure, get your magnifier out and start looking for differences and you'll surely notice something 😉.  My 3440x1440 is Render Scaled to 120 and still, despite that, the 3080Ti never gets anywhere near spent AND...T-LOD does not impact the GPU appreciably anyway.

Again your opinion .. Your welcome to it .. I don't need a magnifier to see the difference .. my eyes are very healthy thank you and we all have established that TLOD weighs more heavily on the CPU ..

Which is why most of us are intrigued as to how Nvidia's solution addresses the issue when that (TLOD) is ramped up and cpu resources are used up and affects the sim.

Bottom line .. we get it .. you love having your sim locked at 30.  We are glad your happy.

Show some respect for the people who don't see it your way and let them find what works for them.
