Check the reviews 4090FE runs cooler than the 3090. Nvidia have done a better job on this GPU.

Probably because the coolers are bigger, it's a beef of a card even compared to the 3090

I'd probably watercool it eventually like I'm doing now with the 3090. But yeah, my current rig is already pumping a lot of heat into the room.

Same here. I did a small research about DLSS 3 and 3000 video cards. As said above, DLSS 3 is exclusively for 4000 cards, but NV officials also mentioned that 3000 cards could benefit from the technique too at least in DLSS3 games. I'm not sure if I understand this correctly.

Anyway, I'll stick with my 3090/12900 system until I switch to 5090/XXXX (AMD) ...

Wow, 140fps?! now we can forget about FPS forever and just focus on the sim! Seems like the holy grail has been achieved after decades. I will be building a new 13900K system tomorrow with one of these bad boys.

Stay realistic, in the scenario shown, FPS was never an issue. Lets wait for tests on EGLL or KJFK for example and how DLSS 3.0 behaves if original FPS are really low. I bet some disappointment to come there...

Indeed show us how it performs while taxiing out on a busy airport.
120FPS to 20FPS is still a stutter.

MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.

DLSS 3 could in theory be implemented for 3000 series cards, but performance would be much worse, so they will not likely do it.

Are people really getting this excited about frame interpolation five years after my Samsung television had it?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

New York means almost nothing, I had very good performance with my old I7 4790k and gtx 1080 at ultra. Maybe KLAX with interior views of a FBW/Fenix/PMDG airplane could help to evaluate the real performance. Showing FS20 performing toy planes is not a good business card for Nvidia.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

How well does your Samsung TV run MSFS?

Pretty well actually at 4k.

Well word not allowed, I'm selling my PC and buying a Samsung TV!

Hold on!  I might have been watching a YouTube video of MSFS actually.  My mistake!

I see nothing I asked for, 3rd person view of a simple default plane in clear weather over melted photogrammetry buildings. FPS numbers are impressive, but as said, without DLSS 3.0 they would still be totally fine at around 60 - 90 FPS.
