Is there an anchor for MSFS2020 floatplanes

Yes that will result in everything stopping including animations won't it.

I did not know that the tablet has this function (for the DHC-2) I am currently 'exploring' the DHC-2 but there are other floatplanes available requiring 'tethering'.

No, the one that stops animations is the regular pause. Active pause doesn't.

If you have the Pushback add on found at FS.to, this works really well for holding your Beaver. You can also use it to perfectly reposition right next to jetty’s etc. and push the aircraft off the jetty when ready to start. It will also hold the Beaver in place when doing engine start so it does not immediately set off.

Thanks for that tip. I already have ambitiouspilots-toolbar-pushback downloaded and installed so will try it out.

I am wondering if it is possible for aircraft developers to add a 'control' to floatplanes so that not only do the mooring lines (often) at the end of the wings 'drop' down that the aircraft 'freezes' to the starting spot when a dock is selected (not when a 'runway' is selected). That would be really 'cool'. Some aircraft have 'chocks' etc so why not mooring ropes?

The new Beaver has an anchor that you select on the tablet. For other planes you can use active pause.

I can see the button on the tablet, but it is not lit and pushing it does nothing. Is there a way to activate the button?  Thanks

Active pause is fine when flying solo, however in a multiplayer group, hitting active pause makes you disappear from everyone's view, immersion gone instantly.

Wilga and Beaver have great code built in that anchors you.  Asobo should provide something similar.

I'm not flying the Beaver much any more but from memory, I think their mooring feature only works when the engine is shut down. I was never able to get the Lorby Mooring tool working with the Beaver but it works great with the Kodiak amphib.

You are 100% correct. The anchor works only when the engine is shutdown. Thank you very much 👍👍👍

Hello @ll, I just got the PILOTs Clipper today and the old Lorby Mooring tool seems to work OK with that. The model even displays the buoys and lines, but that was certainly not intentional on my part. Mooring tool version is 1.02 b01 for MSFS.

If there is any trouble with the tool please don't hesitate to let me know.
