December 19, 20223 yr Airliners can download the flight plan and winds directly from their company’s flight planning department to their FMCs. Back in the old days I remember manually typing in routes all the way from Europe to California and then in addition having to go back and manually type in all the winds, it would take over 20 minutes and you’d need a cup of tea afterwards. kids today don’t know they’re born ! Calma, calma 🙂 A cool feature with newer Garmin products are the integration ("Connext") into all of Garmin's apparels. One click in the app, and my Garmin Pilot FPL is transferred to the onboard FMS (if avionics allow) and my Garmin D2 Air. 🤡 EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12

I once got lost over the canyonlands of Utah. No problem. Just tuned in the Hanksville VOR and drew the bearing line on my sectional. Then I did the same for the Grand Junction VOR. Where the two lines crossed was where I was. Only a few minutes from Canyonlands Airport. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
