FG-1D Corsair (Marketplace)

Featured Replies

Forgive give me if this topic has been done before. I did a 'Corsair' search but 0 result.

For those into WW2 planes and do not know this, I just wanted to make you aware that buying the magnificent FG-1D Corsair from Microsoft Market place has no armament loadout and 3 liveries missing. It is being sold at full price though. I got caught on this one because having tbe P51, and Spits both with gun sights and clickable weapon switches as well as the Spits protruding gun barrels I did not realise the deception played on purchasers. Disgraceful!

It's been long known, 'Don't by warbirds or fighters of any kind from the marketplace'.  Per 'Woke' policies, accommodation has been made for those offended having aircraft available in the marketplace with guns showing on them.  Much like 'Notice to Airmen' is offensive.  You need to get these birds directly from the developer's website if you want a realistic and historical version.

Isn't it more due to the age rating of the game rather than "woke policies". MSFS has the following rating: This game has received a PEGI 3 Suitable for all ages.

I believe if they allowed guns/weapon systems in the sim via the market place that age rating would have to go up and Microsoft probably wanted the sim to be available to all ages. Which is why the marketplace has such restrictions.

Do to 'Woke' policies it offends some

I'm quite tired of these kinds of people telling others what they can and can't say, see, do or enjoy.

No, it's 'Woke' policies...😐 It makes no sense to sell a castrated military aircraft at the same price as the non-castrated version when these birds in their truest form have been selling just fine for years not only in FS but models, die-cast toys, and video games including in early version of FS with the WWI Red Baron game (for those that are informed to remember).

I was somewhat hoping the 40th Anniversary would bring back the old WWI fighting module in the sim.  It would be too offensive now to shoot someone out of the sky.

I just went back and fully read what you wrote here.  The age range would go up???   Do you realize what their teaching and pushing on kids these days?  I'm sure kids can handle an aircraft with non-working visible guns on them when you take into account what they hear and see on a daily bases in the world.  This is purely the insanity of thought today which as always makes absolutely no since in the face of everything else.

I'm in agreement with the OP, they should at least be decent enough to sell these birds at a reduced cost on the Marketplace.

Nobody is telling anyone what they can buy and enjoy. You have choices. Why do ya'll hate capitalism? Keep your culture war mess out of this forum it's boring.

Strange take.

Removing parts of digital toy planes before sale is not capitalism it's censorship and a nonsense. Kids have been playing with toy soldiers, cap guns and model Messerschmitt's for as long as I remember. This is no different.

This is someones ideological cobblers, I'm afraid and yes, it is boring. Because it's relentless.

Not being able to have a pretend gun on your pretend aircraft (except you can, you just need to buy it elsewhere) makes this world unbearable? What sad world are you living in? Seriously!

No he said something about people who use woks?

😆 Yes, yes he did

So the OP didn't realise that pretend guns weren't allowed on pretend aircraft purchased from the marketplace. I didn't know that anyone who is obviously interested enough in this hobby to visit forums didn't know that was the longstanding policy but, you learn something new every day. Now that they know that they can indeed buy pretend aircraft with pretend guns if they do so from the developer direct and that no one will persecute them for it and their version of MSFS won't delete itself, I'm sure this can be put to bed without conspiracy theories about woks taking over the world and making you give up things you hold to be essential in life. Enjoy the weekend.
