I confess that I didn't know and I'm no newbie to these places. Such an absurdity of censorship would not have naturally crossed my mind and if I bought from the marketplace (which I don't) I could easily have made the same mistake and would now be looking for a refund so I could buy the complete product, as it was intended, without having someone elses world view imposed upon me and it as I paid for the privilege.

The OP's warning was a welcome to some of us and their grievance valid.

When a sim has only been out for around 2 1/2 years, one could hardly call it "long-standing" policy....unless you're 5 yrs old.

That's the problem though isn't it. In somebody else's world view, the product with the pretend guns is just as offensive ('silly' would be a better word perhaps) as the product without them is to others. I don't think Asobo should have a warning on the Marketplace 'We don't sell addons with armaments' but they should perhaps say that the addon you buy from them isn't necessarily going to be the one you would get from the developer. I have a strong suspicion that those who would want aircraft with guns on would be the same demographic that don't buy from the Marketplace on principle to begin with so I doubt Asobo would lose too many sales.

This post here is sad to say the least.  There's a larger point that's being reduced to silliness. With all that's going on from the FAA mishap earlier this week that grounded flights all across the nation do to a glitch in software because of a name change to remove gender in 'Notice to Airmen' to the Pronoun issue everywhere.  It's like we're living in a Star Wars reality where the Empire is in control and all who's asking questions are silenced in one way or another.  We all know at every opportunity agenda is being put into all that we do.  Still, you have people denying what can easily be seen with one's own two eyes.  Yes, this is about planes in the marketplace but there's a larger point here.  If this is so meaningless, why is it an issue for Microsoft?  My wife works for Microsoft and Woke is in full force there.  Yet again those who are asking questions at this distant level, observing it, and commenting on it is wrong.  I'm sorry some of you want to be brainwashed and that's fine (actually it not as it's forcing everyone else to comply).  But when someone in these forums asks for an obvious logical answer to something, I'm going to give it to them.  I guess I'm in the Rebel Alliance...

I see why some say WWII has allot of lessons about social engineering/control that we can see playing out today.😕

When something has been around for two and a half years and the policy is two and half years old, the correct term would be 'longstanding'

Once again, nice try at gaslighting. DCS stands for DCombatSimulator. MSFS stands for MicroSoftFlightSimulator...one is specific, one is general. It can hardly be argued that a significant category of aircraft should not be reasonably represented in a flight sim, vs. the logic of specific aircraft in a sim designed for specific aircraft.

Who is offended by a toy plane with pretend guns on it? I would suggest that would be a disingenuous fool and in reality almost no one. It's preposterous. It's laughably pathetic.

Too few people telling too many people that they can't have or can't do because they don't like it and/or it runs contrary to their ideological bent.
