January 17, 20233 yr I have been getting more pauses and hesitations within the past few weeks. I had attributed it to this sim but now I'm thinking different. I find that I'm getting it in streaming videos and even it other applications. So it's probably something in my computer. Anyone have any ideas what would be causing this? January 17, 20233 yr Don't know the cause but have noticed micro pauses have cropped up in last 2 weeks. Mainly 1 or 2 a flight, & in particular when instigating a turn after take off. Prior to this haven't had pauses for over a year. T45
January 17, 20233 yr If you're seeing it in a variety of programs, then a driver/video card issue or a heavy process running in the background (e.g. file system search indexing) would be the first things I'd look for. You might also check your anti-virus exclusions. Trying to learn how to make scenery. I guess that running on top of the sim uses a lot of resources. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive

I often think it's maybe a badly optimised scenery, or late loading objects on approach, but process activity feels more plausible. I bought the $5 MSFS Process Prioritiser app and it seems work well. For instance - INI EGLL V3 performs beautifully however yesterday Gatwick 2023 was awful, stutters every 3 or 4 seconds. But I bet if I ran Gatwick today it would be fine. Feels a bit random. January 17, 20233 yr Happens to me every now and then as an initial load of approaching over a densely packed scenery area. Only last a good 5-7 seconds then everything is fine. January 18, 20233 yr I've noticed it happening right before ATC transmissions, early on in the flight. Alexander Alonso

Roy Try deleting and re-building the rolling cache, I also use the Map Enhancement add-on which has its own cache that can be used alongside the MSFS rolling cache. I don't notice any undue pauses. January 18, 20233 yr Author In response to several above post, I don't use rolling cache or ATC and still have them when I don't use Map Enhancement. I'm leaning towards a server problem, either Asobo or local. I had a disconnect message this morning followed by a reconnect successful a 30 seconds later. This was while in the menus. If I had been flying it could have been a pause. Just guessing. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
