Thank you Asobo and Microsoft for bringing An-225!

Recommended Posts

Very excited about the AN-2 and future planes. About the AN225 well, nice surprise but my doubt is: being a 6 crew aircraft, how will it be flying it on a sim? Switching all time between pilot/navigator/flight engineers, or they will add some kind of automated assistance, similar to to the AFE on dc-6?

We don't have to choose sides nor care about what you consider an unjust nor genocidal war. We can love the AN 225 without the bias.😉

Well, some people cares about it 24 hours a day since almost a year. For someone it may be just politics about a place far away, for others is about a country just 2 hours of flight of distance, about close friends and relatives life.

Thank you for the OP for the headup. I am not in this sort of plane but I will buy her as it will help a victorious Ukraine to rebuild. A meaningful charity if any.

Exactly this. I will buy it to support the cause even if I then uninstall it.

This is good to see.  Not normally my type of plane, but but the message it gives is welcome and I may even try flying it.

I’m really surprised this aircraft doesn’t appear to have been insured.

I love the idea to donate all proceeds to the rebuilding of the real thing. That alone is worth the price for me, even if I end up flying her not all that much.

War damages are generally excluded from insurance policies

Saw her flying into Leeds/Bradford Airport 2007. Absolute giant of an aircraft, and i will also buy it to support the cause.

@ the OP:l

I have seen multiple vids about Mrija and it’s crew.

Didn’t know it was your family. Great story and all the best to them.

I work in the field. I get it. I was merely making a point

most airlines purchase war insurance.

The AN-225 was the largest aircraft ever to take to the skies, period.  For that reason alone I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this beauty.  I really don't care about the politics or where the money's going.    I've enjoyed the Spruce Goose, I expect the Mrija to be even better.

The aircraft from the outside is super appealing to me. Though the cockpit is a little dated for my preference

This is the only individual aircraft that I set a FlightAware alert for so I would get an email every time it flew somewhere.  All in the hopes that it would eventually fly somewhere close enough that I could go see it.
