Models/Liveries Preference: FS Traffic or FSLTL?

Featured Replies

For those with both, just wondering which one edges out the other for you.  Although similar, do you find yourself preferring one over the other, even if slightly?  If so, why?  I'm referring to models/liveries only, not the traffic injection systems.

I personally find the quality of the models nicer/more high quality with FS Traffic.

Ryzen 5800X3D | X570 Aorus Pro | 32GB DDR4-3600 CL16 | RX 6800 | 500GB Samsung 970 Evo Plus | 2TB Crucial P3 | RM650x | Creative Sound Blaster AE-5 | NZXT S340 Elite | MSI 34" 3440x1440 100Hz

AIG beats them all easily.

9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung,  AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

Just tried FSLTL injector with all three model libraries included. FSLTL and FS Traffic models looked good but some of the AIG liveries had issues. Here's a 787-10 where you can see a white band running across the window line:-

I think I'll just run FSLTL and FS Traffic models with FS Traffic as main and FSLTL as fallback.

Hmm, FS Traffic models are my preference since they are both easiest on framerate and look the best. AIG has more liveries and models but generally look worse and have a bigger framerate hit. FSLTL seems to be in the middle for all aspects but it is the only one with live traffic.
Also, the FSLTL injector seems to do a better job than both AIG and FS Traffic.

Flightsim rig:
CPU: AMD 5900x  | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL
Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906
Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking

FSLTL has the best injector by far from the others two cause you can custom many settings to adapt to your system and get nice performance if you wanna spend money on an ai traffic addon just get fs traffic but just for the model and use the FSLTL as injector with the setting that makes fs traffic models working on the FSLTL injector. and if you wanna  very detailed traffic also install the models of aig for the missing FSLTL and fs  models

Another vote for FSLTL injector with FS Traffic models here. FSLTL produces traffic more reliably on my system, and also injects GA traffic, which makes a big difference at smaller airports. By default, FS Traffic has better frame rates, but you can reduce the FSLTL injection radius to get pretty much the same frame rates.

i use AIG in a combination with PSXT Pro. Historical AI movements, a bunch of special liveries...could not wish more. No issues with AIG models/textures if they're installed correctly.

9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung,  AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

Both FSLTL and AIG use the same models, FSLT has just converted them differently for MSFS than AIG. AIG has far more models and liveries than both FSLTL and FS Traffic combined.

I haven't seen any real proof to show how FS Traffic models look any better than the others, and also still think that FS Traffic yields better frames simply because it's injecting less traffic. Yes I've seen the videos that show equal numbers, but I still doubt the accuracy in testing.  I may have to buy it and see for myself as I've done with every other AI program over the past 15+ years yet still stuck with AIG.

Personally, I find that the FSLTL aircraft are FAR too glossy, they look like they have been dipped in a varnish so I tend to steer clear of using them.

I'm around the real things for nearly 8-12 hours a day, more days every month than I'd like to be and the AIG liveries just look more realistic. More accurate colours, and overall texturing, not to mention far more variants . The FS Traffic liveries do look better than the FSLTL ones, just for the not dipped in heavy gloss look I'll give them that.
