February 10, 20233 yr The biggest limitation on a 3080 in game is the 12GB VRAM. To get substantially more than 12GB you would need to go up to a RTX4090.

Sure, but where exactly do you see 12Gb having any meaningful impact on performance? It's never an issue here but I'm at 3440x1440. And you get 16Gb of VRAM in the RTX4080... February 14, 20233 yr I have read that MSFS2020 will utilize whatever amount of VRAM that is available. In my case with 12Gb I get quite close to 12 gb but with the same scenario someone with 16Gb might see close to 16gb used and so on for even greater amounts of VRAM. Now what difference this all makes to FPS or the appearance of the sim is less clear. Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened."
