Amitiouspilots running under VR in the latest Beta? It does show up on the 2D screen but not under VR. This would be a pretty hard deal-breaker for me, if confirmed by others.

I can confirm this. but I would not call this a deal breaker considering so many more important fixes SU 12 provides. and if they really live up to their title, they should be "ambitious pilots" enough to fix this in no time.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Do you have a mouse cursor problem inside each cockpit especially on screens?

this is a VR only specific issue.

we were discussing a VR specific mouse cursor issue, so what is your question re. the mouse cursor then?

you need to switch to full screen (Alt-Enter) before activating VR.

This! Thank you so much. The mouse is perfectly running now, hits the buttons, doesn't hang anymore, it's like day and night. Perhaps you can make a posting in the Tools and Tips subforum, I doubt many VR users know about this.

It's not without reason I started VR from the windowed mode so far. I have been using FSDesktop for taking my beloved FS-FlightControl into the VR cockpit on my previous system. Unfortunately, this doesn't work anymore after I got a new Win11-based machine.

Kind regards, Michael

Here is a screenshot on the beta 1.31.18.0 artefact I found yesterday.

It's been reproducable with any app I opened via the toolbar so far, once even the toolbar itself gave this. The stripe comes and goes depending on the direction of viewing. It's only visible under VR.

Can anyone of the other VR users verify (or falsify) this? If so, I'll report it on the official beta forum.

Kind regards, Michael

Most likely a toolbar app that is not compatible yet. I see you have many custom app icons there. With my almost all default tb apps I have no problems in VR.

You are right. I just made a test only with the Flight Sim Discovery client in the Community folder and the artefact didn't appear. Thank you very much!

Now I'll only have to isolate the bad guy.

I've got another issue which I would someone from my VR friends to confirm before making a note on the official forum. Since Sim 12 beta, all EFB/Moving Map apps which I invoke via the toolbar have very small lettering, effective ICAO, City names etc. are illegible. I noticed this with Sky4Sim, Flight Sim Discovery, Little Nav Map Ingamepanel etc. Its in all planes I tried so far C152, C172, H135, M20. Effectively, it looks like on an 8K screen without switching default font size.

Thanks a lot once more,

Michael

Just in case someone else runs into this issue.

I could pinpoint this via a nesting procedure. It's again the Shift+Z mod from AmbitiousPilots, which doesn't work anyway. I doesn't hurt as long as you don't try to activate it via the toolbar. However, if you once hit the Shift+Z button you can expect these stripes afterwards. Best to remove the mod for now.

In the mean time, this has been confirmed by someone else on the official forum.

Kind regards, Michael

Update: This regression (resolution mismatch between main display and toolbar apps display) under VR has just been reported at the official forum, thus it's not only me.

It's gathering votes there, thus other SU beta 12 testers can help to give it priority in case they are suffering as well.
