Dude, We haven't had DX12 in the sim for two years so relax.

Do you think this is nice

Microsoft Flight Simulator 11.02.2023 15_34_22

This is how LGRP looks in my SIM and other Airports all the time for month now.

I have to use DX12 because of Frame Generation, without it the Game runs like shi*

So please vote here to finaly get asobo to work on a fix, this is really bad customer Support.

Errrr... many of us using msfs perfectly fine in DX11 without any problems. And a lot still not willing or even able to spend a fortune on a fancy new GPU with a lot of vram that would run DX12. If you are having issues with DX11 I would search on your setup as a first step and not wait for DX12. That will be a long waiting time then cause the prio is quite low. Personally I don't get the hype about the frame generation especially in a civil flightsim. Except you are in VR.

I  run DX12 in 2D MSFS and also in VR. It works much better for me than DX 11. I have a mediocre computer by the way..

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Bare minimum VR fixes (again...) and still the main regressions from SU5 & 7 go ignored, I mean it's nice they're doing something but it's clear they don't have interest in properly fixing what they broke in VR, oh well that's life I guess!

Decent bunch of other fixes and stuff though it must be said, at least the Sim is improving.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

except FrameGeneration is NOT available in VR. 😀

but I will always accept 40% rasterisation improvement in VR from my RTX 4090, especially in my civil only flying.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

oh I stand corrected... dangerous half knowledge here... so then the only reason coming to my mind gone... so its essentially useless completely then 😄

I've found only these four Carenado aircraft to work with this beta Update.  I own almost all their others and they all make the sim CTD.

Skymaster

PC12

Seneca

Mooney

Seminole no CTD here. works just as nice as Seneca and PC-12. look ma, even in VR:

and in sunny Greece:

Has anyone word not allowed+Z by Amitiouspilots running under VR in the latest Beta? It does show up on the 2D screen but not under VR. This would be a pretty hard deal-breaker for me, if confirmed by others.

I have the Carenado Mooney M20 running, no CTD so far, but that's the naked one without any Avionics Mod.

Kind regards, Michael

Did you mean to type "ambitious pilots?"

Yes.

It is activated via the in-game toolbar and shows several information, including Framerate, depending on how often you press Shift+Z.

https://flightsim.to/file/16358/shift-z-stats

It is (or better was) pretty much one of the very few framerate counters displaying under VR. There is one coming with the OpenXR Companion, which works under SU12beta, but this one is moving with the eyes and makes me sick.

I saw another regression under VR. If I open an addon via the toolbar (I tried the Flight Sim Discovery Client and Sky4Sim) it is occasionally displayed a second time distorted in a small band over the full width of the view, depending on the direction of viewing. It's hard to descirbe, I'll try to get a VR screenshot tomorrow, if I am able to, it's too late for today.

And no, the mouse  doesn't work any better under VR yet. Lagging and hard to hit a button.

Kind regards, Michael

you need to switch to full screen (Alt-Enter) before activating VR.

Thank you, will try this tonight. I usually have been switiching from windowed indeed.

If this works, I'll buy you a beer.

you mean a 20-pack, or Kiste? Tegernseer or Augustiner Helles will do.

it DOES work, I fly nothing but VR. a little known, but important piece of information that MSFS should communicate better. This has and still does cause so many problems for VR users, like inadvertently clicking the CLOSE WINDOW button on the top right of the MSFS window when all you want is click on an autopilot or radio button etc, but since the mouse in the VR and 2D window are not totally aligned, you may end up clicking somewhere you did not intend to. if there are multiple windows open, an app has no idea of the mouse cursor's position once this window (MSFS) has lost focus.

you know the meaning of GmbH?
