MJ on the Inibulilds discord just mentioned this: "We are working on a full English cockpit" and also working on a video series but isn't confirmed when that will be out.

I am curious -- how is everyone controlling the 6 engines, other than with the mouse? As far as I can tell the sim doesn't provide throttle bindings for more than 4 engines. I suppose you can have a single throttle control all engines.

You can set it up like this:

Quote

Until native support for more than four engines is added to the sim; there are currently two ways to control the throttles in the An-225:

- THROTTLE AXIS: controls all six throttle levers

- THROTTLE AXIS 1 controls 1,2 and 3; THROTTLE AXIS 4 controls 4,5 and 6

How do you identify engines 5 and 6 to assign them to throttle axis 4?

Thanks,

Al

I just have a 2 leaver throttle  and I just set the exact same up on throttle 3 and 4 axis as I have it already setup on 1/2.

Thanks for the reply, but the bindings you show just seem to account for 4 engines, or I just don't understand. I don't see how engines 5 and 6 are accounted for in the above screen shot.

Sim throttle Axis 1 controls engines 1, 2, 3.  Sim throttle axis 4 controls engines 4, 5, 6.

In a twin engine aircraft you would normally use throttle axis 1 and 2… it’s like that but use throttle axis 4 instead of 2.

Throttle axis 2 and 3 don’t need to be used.

Axis 1 controls 3 engines and axis 4 controls the other 3. My own setup has got an extra setup that isn’t needed that I just realised but that’s how inibuilds have set it up until msfs supports more than 4 engines.

Is that because that's how the developer set it up, how it was coded?

Yeah it’s a work around they have implemented until msfs gets support for more engines which I think is the next sim update

That’s correct.  Probably would have been less confusing to just have axis 1 for left side engines and axis 2 for right hand engines.

OK, thanks guys. It was the developer's role in the throttle assignments that I didn't initially understand. Makes sense now.

Now that I think about it, Asobo must have done something similar for the 8 engine "Spruce Goose".

Does anyone know how to adjust the default viewpoint of the pilot? It is to much zoomed out or to far from the panel, it looks like looking through fisheye lenses... I do not have this issue with any other aircraft...

One thing i will say is Inibuilds are knocking it out the park with the aircraft they have brought to the sim so far... And again with no big hype, just quietly working away till release.
