DC-3 Old Style

Featured Replies

Hi simmers 😃

This time I chose an "old picture style" like it was modern in the 1950-60 years because it suits this aircraft very well. That may not be everyone's thing but I wanted to do it that way to match this old plane and this old time somehow. But maybe someone might like it...

I would also like to mention that landing with this DC-3 is anything but easy, i have not yet been really satisfied with the landing i am doeing with this bird, but i am still trying to perfect it..🤔

( it`s not bad, but not good enough for me at this stage )

Excellent shots buddy! 😉

Your "old style" pictures match the plane well. Especially in #2 and #3. That's a really nice livery also.

They work perfectly PM, it's a nice touch and looks genuinely old-school Kodak film shots.

Nice shots, and it seems you got her down well enough

All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

Beautiful Classic!!!

Beautiful set! The "Old Picture Style" looks great with the DC-3.

Those pictures look really nice, buddy, no worries. Btw, one of the most important things with this bird is to keep the tail up after touch down as long as possible. Otherwise you won't be able to steer her.

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

The classic bird looks even more beautiful, with the chosen picture style...pmplayer...!

BTW, I recalled this (vintage) airline from a Varig Story I'd done a while ago; however, I was glad to look up a bit more about this airline on the flightsim.to repaint site. With one of the Real repaints there, it was delightful to see the pictures of the crew, with the added personal touch from the repainter, "...Mom and Dad among them...".... sure, gave some extra motivation to the repainter...🙂....

The São Paulo to Miami...was supposedly almost a three-day trip on the Real DC-3, with intermediate stop-overs....

Thanks for sharing this very fine set...!
