April 2, 20233 yr Moderator @PavlinS, a tip if you want to see a natural perspective using ChasePlane. If you have a monitor with a 16:9 aspect divide 9 by 16. You get 0.56. That is the correct zoom factor to use. Resolution is not a factor nor is the screen size. Or if you have a 21:9 monitor then use 0.43. Adjust your viewpoint as required but do not change the zoom factor. See how you get on with that. Ray (Cheshire, England). April 2, 20233 yr Author Ray, thank. I think my monitor is 16:9, it is 4K monitor, I took my views from the streamer Chewwy, but I change them, so they look better. But thank you.

It was an observation. I notice many Youtube videos show a view which makes the approach look flatter than it looks in real life. It only matters with aircraft which create a realistic simulation of landing behaviour, because it means their behaviour may not correspond exactly to the messages your eyes are getting from the screen. There are some situations in P3D 5.3 and to a lesser extent in P3D 4.5 where the zoom value can change, without it being obvious until on the approach. It is mostly related to multi screen setups using view groups and is triggered by other inputs like certain menu selections. I have had several conversations about this on the P3D forums. I do not use Chaseplane so I cannot say if that has any effect. John B

April 2, 20233 yr Author This is not a good view to me. THIS however is a good view of the cockpit: Edited April 2, 20233 yr by PavlinS I wanted to add my own perspective.
April 2, 20233 yr Moderator If you prefer your own that's fine. I'm just pointing out what gives a natural perspective. Ray (Cheshire, England). April 2, 20233 yr Author It's too close for me, I can't see all the instruments that way. Thank you, I will attempt to make some landings with that one, if they are better I might use it.

My first thoughts were the same as yours, airspeed about 30 kts too high and why is the auto-throttle and A/P still on in good weather? Those of us who use FS2Crew have a very capable co-pilot who takes care of most of that. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor.
