I think i didnt tried that combo yet, going to try thanks 😉

That's the key need to enable frame gen - should double your fps just about.  And read them with an overlay like steam or MSI afterburner not the dev panel

And this confirms it 🙂

Not quite--going to 4K adds add'l load to your CPU.

I had an 8700K at 5GHz with an RTX 3080. I kept the 3080 and upgraded to a 13600K, undervolted and overclocked to 5.4 and the stutters have virtually disappeared.

I also use Addon Linkers ability to run companion apps on different CPU threads. FSTL, FS Realistic, ATC Chatter etc, all run on their own efficiency core in the new CPU.

Dam you guys going to make me spend more money 😄, and by a pure coincidence, look at what i added to my chart just to see how much is the damage when your message dropped 😄

Are you limiting your frame rates? If not, you guarantee that your CPU maxes out in those demanding scenarios and stutters often result. With DLSS, I cap at 60 using Nvidia Profile. Also heavy AI traffic and clouds at Ultra load you CPU.

I did as low as 30 fps's CPU was in mid 50% average and same problem.

But that i tried frame gen on, but with dlss as AA.

Is it the location? Toronto CYYZ has issues baked into the scenery. (KLAX and Melbourne were terrible at one point, but Asobo addressed whatever was going on.)

Really, all stutters are gone? I have an i9-9900k with my 3080 and I get stutters...

Every time I've encountered a stutter fest while landing was due to my LOD settings being too high, even if they were only at 150/75.   Backing them down to 80/40 or so usually takes care of the problem for me.  It'd be awesome if the LOD settings could be set to a min/max range that the sim would use to dynamical adjust LOD to best balance the main thread work load (one can dream, can't they?)

You're certain FG is enabled?

You must enable HAGS

You need to be using DX12 in MSFS

And you need to go to Nvidia Control Panel and set Max frame rate to something up high... like I set mine to 143 because my monitor hz is 144.

With a 4070 check the following:

DLSS on

Frame generation on

Dynamic resolution on

VSYNC off

(if available: GSYNC on)

You should see 60-100 fps

Forget all the other MSFS graphics settings, put them to high or ultra.

Have you checked your TV itself?  I tried using an extra LCD 4k TV I had in the house after getting my new system with an RTX 4090.  There was tearing on the screen and the performance was not great.  I got an LG C series OLED TV with Gsync and all of my problems were gone.  Mike Gutierrez, North Hollywood, California.

The only real bad stutters around cities and airports that i had comes down to issues with the MSFS cache. I have it at 32GB and when it happens from time to time its the first thing i disable. Usually comming in to a new airport (for instance KBOS , PMDG 737÷900 from KSEA) major stutters and fps drop which disapeared infight switchiing cache off.

If your 4K TV is 60HZ and does not have gsync etc. then set max framerates in Nvidia on 60 or 30 and also enable vertical sync.

And FG on of course in the game.

When you have fps other then 30 or 60 there will be frame drops all over the place because they wil not fit in the refresh rate.

Thats the reason why gsync monitors etc exists!!  So many people forget about that.

So try:

Frame generation on

In Nvidia settings max framerate 30 or 60

Use 60 if 60 fps can be produced most of the time. If not then 30.

Vsync on (not in the game that does not work correctly)

There is a line of thought that stutters in MSFS can often be from a mismatch between GPU and CPU.   Basically if one is too far behind the other one. the good one sort of goes to sleep and then needs to wake up again when it eventually gets a chance to do something.

No idea if there is anything to this theory.

According to this line of thought, the way to reduce this problem, if you have it, on your particular setup  is substantially increase any settings that load up your GPU and wind back all settings that load your CPU to try to get them in a better "balance" in terms of load.
