FSLTL & GA traffic injection?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm considering to install FSLTL, initially only for injection of GA traffic.
I have read the FAQ and manual but neither of them give a clear clue:

  • Where do the GA Aircraft flightplans come from?
In other words: Where and how much are they injected?

In that also based on FlightRadar24 data?
If so I can imaging that the appearance of GA Aircraft in MSFS is very limited.
Or is also random GA traffic generated/injected?

I have the latest version of FSLTL and have noticed no GA traffic flying in the sim to date.  I do have some GA traffic at airports but not sure if they are generated by FSLTL or are a part of the addon airports I am using.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

Maybe it’s not as straightforward as I imagine but the lack of an offline GA package seems like a miss. That would be a 3rd party collection of AI models and flight plans. I would absolutely open up my wallet for that.

Depending on where I'm flying, I do have GA traffic, usually already in the air when I start my flight and check the injector window. Not much in the UK, probably because I'm in the US, and it's pretty late at night in the UK when I'm flying. However, flying in the US, lots of 172s, 152s, etc..

Which is exactly like it is in real life, very little C 152 and C172 traffic once it gets dark.

Never seen a single GA on the tarmac with FSLTL alone. Even on Experimental v1.5.

honestly I have seen Learjet a few times but they were not really based on FlightRadar24 data....

I just loaded into Denton Municipal KDTO, first aircraft that popped up was C152 N24522. Just checked FlightRadar, yep, it shows up. It landed while I was checking FlightRadar, so I missed it. Injector said it was removed when it dropped below 250' VFR by the time I went back. Did any of you happen to uninstall your default GA aircraft?

Just loaded into Kickapoo KCWC, injector parked three C172s, no tail numbers since they're the additional parked aircraft. It's not a busy place, especially at night.

I am seeing GA I think, but I also get GA that seem to fly around the airport like they're lost.

I think that's an MSFS issue? I installed AIFlow to improve AI behavior. Mixed bag, but better. AIGround too.
