I originally purchased the base package of MSFS.  I would like to have the 787 since they now have the avionics upgraded.  How do I do this besides paying 80 or 90 USD to upgrade my MSFS package?  Or is the upgrade required?

AFAIK, it requires the $80-$90 upgrade.  I know of no other path to obtain the 787.

I was afraid of this..  Thanks Btacon!

The upgrade is definitely required.

 

You do get other benefits with the Premium deluxe apart from the 78 like some other aircraft eg a steam 172 and some airports plus there’s 33% off all the asobo aircraft like the atr or the cool classic beech etc
 

The 78 is great now though and only now do I think the PD is actually worth it,

That's great to hear!  I am probably going to get it.  Because with this new platform for 2024 announced.. Who knows, in the future,  it may be the only way you will receive updates for 2020

So the Standard (Which I have) for $60 and the upgrade fee to Premium Deluxe is $90 correct? and knowing 2024 is right around the corner. Naw I will stick with the 747 or A310 for if I wan't to do a long hauler.

They updraded the avionics in the free A310 also?

The A310 was done by Inibuilds, it has different systems/avionics than the avionics in AAU2.

Did you check the in-game store? I was under the impression that you could just pay the difference to upgrade

I just paid for the upgrade and enjoy the C172 as well as the Baron.. 🙂

But it is nice to have a choice..

Nope.. it is another $25 or so.. Which arguably is not a big price tag.. 😉

I think you get the longitude also which WT have transformed into a great aircraft. 
 

 

Worthwhile upgrade to super deluxe version with the baron, longitude, and the just updated 78x. And discount on the atr.
