I can not understand why so many leave p3d for msfs 2020. V6 is amazing.

Why? Explain. Because my initial impression after using it is that the perf absolutely sucks.

For some reason, I cannot download the instructions for the V6 install.  I do not want to make a mistake, which could have serious consequences.  Please let me know the procedure or point me to a site that has the instructions.

Thank you.

Don’t you just run the setup in admin mode? That’s all I’ve done for v3, 4 and 5.

Right-click the executable and choose Run As Administrator.

Do I uninstall P3d v5.4 client, content and scenery?

Not unless you want to. Every major version is independent of the others. I have v3.4 and v5.3 installed.

Keep v5, install v6 and do a few screenshots. They will be greatly appreciated. 👍

No thanks. PMDG will not support it, and it's likely other developers will follow. It was a great fill gap platform, but it's not the future. MSFS is maturing into a fantastic platform that blows P3D and XP away. Of course, this is just my personal opinion.

I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988.

Windows 11 Pro loaded on a 4TB Gen5 Crucial T700 SSD, 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, Ryzen 9 7950x3d, AS Rock X670e Taichi Motherboard, Gigabyte Gaming RTX 4090 OC 24GB, 64GB (2x32GB) Viper Venom  DDR5-6000MT/s, MSI 32" MAG 321UPX QD-OLED 260hz 4K Gaming Monitor.

If I just install V6, are my current planes and airports saved?

Then that is your last post on this sub forum presumably.

Until someone with a PMDG aircraft drags and drops it into v6 we have no idea what the problems are.

Who says what they are and whether they’re insurmountable? People got the PMDG737NGX working in v5.

Every version of P3D is totally independent. Yes, all your current aircraft, airports and other related software for v5 will remain untouched.
