July 11, 20232 yr Is the Simbrief import being worked on my WT? Have they provided any timeframe - or will this be part of AAU3?

It is being worked by on WT - Not sure of an ETA but have heard it could be the next SU. Jase I really enjoy very much programming the FMC from scratch, I mean, by entering the depart and arrival airports, the SID and STAR and then the rest of the legs/waypoints. That way I make sure the flightplan is correct. Matter of taste I guess. A RW pilot friend of mine will say I'm juts being lazy because apparently, they key in the route manually when the datalink fails (quite often). The first few times is fun but then I need my datalink Edited July 11, 20232 yr by ErichB more detail

The first few times is fun but then I need my datalink Yes, I agree it could be very long and boring, but remember you can enter your waypoints not just one by one, but by using the airways entry and exit waypoints, which saves a lot of work and is pretty quick and easy. Plus it also makes you more aware of your own flight as well as proficient with the FMC. As for being bored after entering the first 10 fixes, it's a 10 hour flight! You have all day to be bored while the airplane flies itself. 😉 i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
July 11, 20232 yr I'm extremely lazy when it comes to flight plans. If I can't import a world map plan I just hand fly/ manually dial in HDGs/ALTs🤣 An FMC is just something I don't care to be bothered with during Cold/Dark startups. I really need to give FMCs a chance this weekend.
