You are not supposed to fly over it that low. I wonder how long it takes until this finally sinks in. 750ft AGL is the lowest you can fly above PG before it starts to come apart.

Has nothing to do with the AGL for me, melting stuff all around ( and so on ) and it dosent matter what AGL in use, so Programmetry is not mine..

Thats why it is allways off for me - it's just not half and not all as it should be !

cheers 😉

Here’s a comparison of Dubrovnik in MSFS 2020 and 2024.

I’m really looking forward to the new tree replacement technology in 2024. It looks so much more realistic than it does now.

Maybe I´m just not getting the point but to me Dubrovnik looks just beautiful in MSFS 2020.

I agree, it does look beautiful. What I meant was that it will look even more beautiful once the photogrammetry trees don‘t look like green blobs anymore and instead are replaced by detailed 3D models, which will be a feature of MSFS 2024. This will massively add to the immersion when flying low and slow, esp. with helis. I was only referring to the trees, not the rest of the scenery.

There seems to be more trees in the 2024 shot than 2020 in some places.

And kills your Hardware if you are not traveling with a currently new one i assume..

So people with older stuff will be left behind and you probably have to look for a new PC, so not for everybody that good i would say..

Maybe. Maybe not. Currently, trees don‘t seem to be a problem performance-wise. And flattening photogrammetry trees also means fewer mesh polygons. We‘ll see.

You have to go to the Market Place within the sim and "buy" it (its free)

14 Worldupdates, same procedure...

I wonder if this question will eventually ever stop coming up...

It is summer time and many people get  back to the sim after months away, I suppose. They just don't know or have forgotten. Nothing that I see wrong here.

Forgotten? After having done it 13 times for 3 years?

The not so obvious: start near or above Ljubljana - the town, not the airport - follow the Sava river east - southeast, LJZA your destination. The Sava valley gets really, really narrow beyond the small town of Litija - a canyon, really -  and there's a very narrow entrance towards the town of Zagorje, where LJZA is located. Lots of fun flying just above the river in a helicopter.

This airport is a real gem!
I am flying between all the airports in this WU in the A2A Comanche and did not really check this airport before takeoff A good thing I didn't because I might have chosen the Wilga instead and missed a challenge.

Not knowing the airfield I first did a pass to assess the situation. My first reaction was, do I really have to land here? I could see myself crashing rather than landing here.
Luckily it is all virtual so I decided to go for it anyway.

I had planned to land on 22, which seemed a little easier from above but then I noticed I would have a tailwind then, and with the runway being only 1400 feet I decided agaisnt it.
Runway 04 it had to be then. on my first attempt I was too high and fast since I was wary of the hills surrounding the airfield. I almost tried to land but was not stable on approach so I decided to try again, staying lower inside the valley.
I needed a closer circuit than on my first attempt  on account of the hills and my lower altitude. That also meant a greater bank angle and unsure of my stall speed at high bank I kept the speed up.

On the 2nd attempt I initially had my doubts whether or not to abort since I was quite fast but I was quite low as well, and otherwise stable on approach. I figured in landing configuration the comanche would lose speed fast if I cut the throttle and I was right. I greased the landing at 16ft/s and 56kts and the grass runway helped me to slow down. I could not be happier.

This airfield is very nicely modelled and the atmosphere is great as well. Seems perfect for the Wilga but the Comanche is more of a challenge.
