And there's the fix lol

Not if you use frame generation

(Just realised my comment has already been stated, disregard)

i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

Just a quick question for those with a 40xx series and using frame generation.

If I pick 50% refresh rate in sim (which will be 30 fps on my 60Hz monitor), and then I turn on frame generation to put it back to 60fps, should I expect to see a drop in CPU utilisation?

Basically I am thinking that the CPU will work less hard for 30fps than 60fps, so with the GPU generated frames pushing it up to 60fps, should I expect to see the CPU running at 30fps levels?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Yup, then your CPU is only doing the work of a 30FPS render which is also the beauty of FG, especially in CPU heavy stuff like simulators, you claw back so much overhead.
