PMS GTN 750 - cannot get CDI to change to GPS

Featured Replies

I searched for the solution for my error i using it, but when starting a flight on the runway with the aircraft running (comanche,  Piper arrow, JPS C152), the GPS is active. If I start the plane at parking spot, and need to start up, the GTN starts with VLOC1 and I cannot switch it to GPS. It flashes from VLOC1 to GPS and back on VLCO1. My community folder is empty now except for the pms and comanche. Thank you.  I am using the free version.

I think this is an ongoing problem, we are still waiting for an update from Justflight I think.

I have the same problem

Thanks Steve. I have the free version.

I change mine with one click, just go to map view, click on CDI. I do that on just about every flight, at the stand.

I was using the map view but still no go.  Then I loaded the GNS 430 in the Comanche and the CDI toggle from VLOC to GPS worked back and forth with no issue. Then left the 430 in GPS mode and loaded the 750 GTN and it was now in GPS but the CDI still does not toggle to VLOC1. Very strange. If I start a new flight, I need to load the 430 and put it in GPS and then load the 750.

Is that the TDS or PMS50 GTN?

Sorry, I see it's the PMS, is it updated?

Yes it’s the updated version. I installed today and also redownloaded and reinstalled

Works fine for me, I use the WT version, did you make a flight plan first and then press the CDI button?

Do you also have the WTT file for this aircraft installed? And the compatibility patch? (Both from the PMS50 website)

You should also remove the PMS50 GNS530 mod if you have it installed. It's not supported anymore.

Post on their Discord Page, the developer is always there.

Check to see if your aircraft has a control for the nav source. That will override the choice you make in the 750...

When you load the PMS goto the Setup and see if it says WTT NO or Internal. If it says NO just cycle the GPS options from the Aircraft and cycle back to the GTN and then check again in the Setup to make sure the WTT is Internal.

Thanks for the replies. I am using the Comanche which has no nav source control. I checked the system status and the WTT mode is External. I will try the discord channel.

PMS50 at Discord told me it was hardware.
I unplugged my Honeycomb devices and re-plugged them and all is working.

Thank you Bob and others for help.
