Nice!  I would like to give them a try.  When you say email RY, do you mean PM him in this forum?  I don't have an email address for him.

A few thoughts.  Is there a reason why there isn't a link given out on the forum here?  And will this be part of an official upgrade through Just Flight eventually?

Yeah, but when a payware plane needs an unofficial mod to be good, dunno,,,,maybe we didn’t get what we paid for:p

They don't "need" it but it does help with some of the flying behaviors they have for some of us.

Just a PM. They tweak a little of their behavior but not enough to warrant JF to account for this. To them, they designed the planes with that set of behavior. The RY "mod" tweaks it enough to make most of us happy. I like the mod but now I am torn after the most recent update. I don't have those "squirrely" issues. Their old planes and when you slap a turbo in one and throttle up....your torque factor will send you all over the place unless the winds are calm. Kind of what these planes are good with: good weather VFR.

Disclaimer: Gasp! I also love the A2A and believe its probably the best single engine piston plane on the market.

I have many, many other add-ons in the 'anything else' category which I will be keeping and flying. I am not exclusively flying the Comanche. The Arrows/Warrior set were once the very best you could get for MSFS but they have long been surpassed and are beyond being fixed by tweaks and updates for me now.

The 'well I've paid money for this, I'm going to fly them anyway' attitude is a bit daft. I'd still be running FSX if I thought like that given the huge amounts I spent on that. If these had a massive model, texture and flight model update (particularly texture) I might think again but that is unlikely.

As far as I’m aware, Robert hasn’t uploaded it anywhere. And in case you were unable to read my earlier post in this same thread… You will have to message him to get it. What is so fishy about that?

Just a heads up...
I contacted Rob 2 weeks ago, asking for the mod.
He said he didn't need more beta testers, and that relatively soon the mods would be made public.

So there is no need to keep sending him PM's

Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to trying out this mod. Until then, my sporadic RTW trip is on hold.

You are using the Arrow to fly RTW?    Which one, Turbo Arrow IV, Turbo III, or normally aspirated Arrow?

You should make a livery for it, with a red duster on it.

I flew RTW in the A2A Cherokee, not quite an Arrow but close.  There were some dicey moments on the Atlantic legs (Iqualuit/Frobisher Bay to Nuuk was one, and Reyjavik to Vagar was another), but overall it was a delightful journey.  I was amazed at how big the lower Amur River is, like a northern latitude Amazon.

On topic, I'll be on the lookout for Robert's mod.  Even though I own the Comanche, there's something about the Arrow/Cherokee that I like and will still go back to.

The normally aspirated Arrow, and using radio navigation only ( no sat nav/GPS ). It's an MSFS trip I've had to put aside for a while, but I'm now in Japan, with Alaska ( via Kuriles and Aleutians ) beckoning.

I did one for the A2A Cherokee, but this time I'm just using the Arrow's custom livery with the dynamic registration. Here's the Cherokee, way back when:

Next month, I head out on a real-world RTW trip, in a Singapore Airlines A380. Can't wait!  😉
