2023-Aug-04 - Just Flight Arrow and Warrior updates

Featured Replies

New software is now available for our PA-28R Arrow III, PA-28R Turbo Arrow III/IIV and PA-28-161 Warrior II add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The new software provides a number of updates and fixes.

Please see the Support pages for more details:

To get the new versions of the aircraft, log in to your Just Flight account, click on 'Your Orders' and you will be able to download the updated software for the add-ons you have purchased.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Well, I downloaded all three and installed. Started with the Warrior. First thing I noticed was AP was on at spawn. Second thing I noticed was AP kept defaulting to HDG, no matter how many times I tried to chose any other navigation mode it remained stuck in HDG.  Oh well, let’s try the Arrow. Same/same except this time I could select NAV, it took and 1 second later it switches back to HDG.  Just like the Warrior it too spawns with AP on.

So for me, back into the hanger with these birds until this issue gets sorted out. In the meantime I’m taking the Comanche for a spin right now. No problems, only joy!

Why would anyone keep these installed now the Comanche is here? The Arrow is one of the few aircraft I have flown for real but I have no sentimental attachment to this one and once I'd flown the Comanche it left my SSD for ever.

Well, the Warrior was one of my primary flight training aircraft, that and the Grumman Tiger!

But now with the Comanche there is no real need to bring these anachronistic relics out. I agree with to bit Heaven for all three!

We might not be able to get a Comanche eg console pilots.
We might want to fly a Warrior or Arrow

I want them to be right as I paid good money for them, and I will still give them the odd flight when they are fixed up.
I have the Comanche, but it doesn't stop me flying anything else.  I still like to fly the modded C152 / C172s in the sim occasionally.
I am mostly looking forward to the Robert Young flight model for the Arrows / Warrior (I understand he has made no promises), so if JustFlight can just get the systems right, he has a great chance of making them fly better!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

The idea hinted at above, that Just Flight not bother updating the Arrow and Warrior now the Comanche is out, is just nonsensical, even for these forums.

I am using Robert Young’s modified flight dynamics (I have the turbo Arrow) and it makes a big difference.  The Arrow is now a joy to fly.

Where did you download it?

Send a message to Robert Young. He's looking for more pilots to test it. Specify which one(s) you want. He has the JF Warrior, normal Arrow and turbo Arrow all redone.

Flew the JF Arrow for a long time and was happy with it(except the horrible low res textures). But now that accusim finally arrived the arrow now collects dust and will soon be wiped from my hardrive. Its hard to fly anything else, even the Milviz c310 is in danger of being wiped… Only accusim from now on for me:)

Still a bit squirrely on the runway?
