Heading sync G1000 NXi

Hey guys, how do you sync the heading bug on the G1000 Nxi, and on the g3000 for that matter.  Pushing the heading knob to sync the heading bug has no effect for me?

Are you using a standalone Garmin Trainer?  If not please at least include what aircraft model and any other pertinent information about what you are seeing.  Screenshots are also helpful. Assume multiple aircraft models since you mention both G1000 and G3000.

Huh? You don't need a Garmin Trainer for the default G1000Nxi, as far as I know. As for the original question, this seems odd. You're hitting the heading knob directly on it? When the pointer changes from a rotating symbol to a finger pointer? Im sorry I have to ask about the basics, but you never know. I don't think I've ever read anyone not being able to sync a heading indicator while pushing on the heading knob. Is this in a default aircraft?

My question was a rhetorical question. How can anyone respond with a true response when the aircraft has not been named.  Absent any aircraft the other possiblity is a standalone trainer.........

Sorry. After 20+ years here I just get frustrated with questions that are so lacking in background.....  Two different Garmin avionics suites named, 1000 and 3000, and no mention of an installed aircraft model.

Left click the knob then right click the knob

I think this can be changed to a single click somewhere in the settings from memory

Happens on all default aircraft that have these avionics.  Nothing to screenshot because nothing happens.  No standalone trainer.

Try setting cockpit interaction to legacy in accessibility menu.

Yep, that did the trick!

If you want to avoid that, follow the advice in the preceding post, and switch to Legacy mode..
