Wasn't this from the August 9th beta update? I haven't flown the 787 in a while, so I didn't know there was an EFB and simbrief capability.

Excellent.
The notes show that they’ve removed the guidance cue symbol from the HUD with flight directors off , brilliant that was a big issue for me personally when practicing raw data HUD work.

Closed loop checklist items too, and an EFB that transfers take off data across to the FMC, both fantastic features that will add tremendously to emulating real world procedures.

My personal wish list : engine out prompt and calculations on the VNAV cruise page to allow realistic  drift downs and terrain escape while passing over the amazing high terrain scenery this simulator includes.

I really do hope they keep going even further with this project, it’s much appreciated.

I'm still confused, wasn't this update almost 3 weeks old?

Yes. Pointless thread.

Click bait.

Nope, the post is about a video which explains in some detail the updates in that beta.

I don't know how many more were produced, but I found this one in youtube, think it's well done, and decided to share, the video, not the news  about the update.

So, keep the bait with ya, but take care, it can hurt...

I went to try to use the EFB in the 787 and it's still not functional. Also couldn't find where they added simbrief compatibility. What am I missing?

You have to be in the SU13 beta.

Well, that’s hard to imagine as those things which you say don’t function or exist do, if you’re in the beta.

I am in the beta. I am able to add my simbrief info in the CDU, however the EFB doesn't turn on. Are you in the beta? Have you been able to access the EFB?
