Here I succeeded too in modifying the EXE. Thank you guys for your help.

Does anyone know if I can use a copy of the modified EXE on my Left view pc too so I do not have to modify that one too ?

why not, if it is the same version. MSFS doesn't know if it is your left, center or right pc. and as long as you don't tell them ...

give it to them, left and right!

In order to decrypt the exe file of the Windows Store version, you have to follow these simple steps, which were already mentioned here in this thread:
Found guaranteed solution for obtaining an unencrypted FlightSimulator.exe · Issue #1 · jet2code/arpc-injector · GitHub

After that I followed the steps described in the Video:
NEW Sky Colours for MSFS TUTORIAL - Free Tweak - YouTube

The only difference that I found was that each of the three entries that we have to replace with new settings, was found two time in the exe file instead of only one time. Needless to say, I replaced both because how ought we know which one was the correct one or both!?

I crossed my fingers and MSFS 2020 started up normal without a problem but new sunrise/sunsetting sky colors, which feel way more natural (less dramatics red skies).

With regards,

If Asobo has issues with users editing the executable - and they'd be right to have concerns given what else can go wrong and how that could cause an unwarranted support desk burden - then if they don't outright adopt these new values in a future release or FS2024, hopefully they'll consider at least making them a parameterized set of values that can be changed via a config setting or file as opposed to keeping them hard-coded.

I wasn't originally gonna bother editing the main file but curiosity got the better of me! Pictures taken in VR over the Lake Of Geneva with preset weather, not exactly the same position in the sky but close enough to get a decent idea. Certainly looks more realistic from first impressions, need to have a proper flight with them to notice though, thanks again to Biology, lets hope Asobo do eventually add these as default in SU14.

Yesterday I took the time to install the new scattering parameters. One hour of fiddling and installing, as my MS store installation was encrypted. The result was surely worth the effort, though there's room for more improvement. I hope that Asobo does some reserarch before implementing better lighting parameters. If they could get data on humidity and dust content from Meteoblue, we would see much more varied lightcapes than it is possible now.

Now fingers crossed, that the next world update does not install a new, encrypted exe, which would mean doing the whole procedure again. Maybe someone writes a batch file 😁.

Go figure....MS/Asobo put in much more effort trying to erase any efforts made by us tweaking the exe than actually helping their customers having issues with SU13.

Total overzealous moderation in Biology's tweak thread removing any trace of exe tweaking posts, but crickets and straight up abandonment in the SU13 troubleshooting thread with customers begging for help....

Official forum staff are super garbage.....always have been!
