does this modification only change the sky colors during sunrise/sunset? Or does it also have an effect between those times too?

I was wondering about this earlier. It must affect the colours outside of sunrise/sunset too but it must not be obvious.

I've decided to wait until Asobo tweak it themselves. I went through pain with a windows and sim install earlier in the year. Not taking the risk.

For those who have taken the risk, enjoy! And well played again, Biology.

After the whole SU13 install debacle, trust me editing the msfs.exe is the lesser risk to take with system instability.🤣😂

Dude, I tried a simple OC and got the blue screen of death and ended up going down a "Update BIOS" wormhole. NEVER AGAIN

Everything is smooth silky and happy now. No beautiful sunset can beat that 😆

Yea I feel that! Some folks just have the worst of luck with tweaking.

Indeed it seems sometimes when one tries these things if one isn't holding your mouth just right it all goes upside-down! I think I've restored from system image 3 or 4 times to recover from these types of train wrecks - but always a glutton for punishment to try something new.

You've managed to make a real world sunset look the same as in MSFS, the default one with overly orange and purple/mauve sky colour!
Quick, take it down / claim you used a filter, or we'll never see the changes implemented for SU14. [/sarcasm]

I have a LG-C1 TV. It will do the same thing?

I don't see why not. It's free to download so give it a go!  It puts some patterns on screen, then you adjust the sliders to match the examples on screen.

My monitor is HDR600 so can't display the full brightness MSFS is pushing out.  The HDR tool finds out the darkest and brightest signal your monitor can display.  It saves the results as a display calibration that loads each time your PC is booted.

I have the store version of MS2020, I had to dump the file before making the changes.

glad you made it. must be frustrating to watch these screenshots, after following the procedure 100% only to see somehow it doesn't work on your own pc. so what was it that you couldn't find the 3 values initially, the comma-dot decimal thing?

Hi,

My file needed the decryption before edit, didn't do that the first go around.

The rays of light coming through the clouds look amazing!

Hi,

I put this short video together on how I was able to get the store version working. I take you step-by-step through the process.
