Total overzealous moderation in Biology's tweak thread removing any trace of exe tweaking posts, but crickets and straight up abandonment in the SU13 troubleshooting thread with customers begging for help.... Official forum staff are super garbage.....always have been! I don’t disagree in the slightest. This is why I get so frustrated with the sim. It’s far from perfect, and they don’t help the situation in the slightest. Maybe they should have a dedicated team to deal with bugs, and customer facing issues, and general issues with the sim. Some more transparency.

Official forum staff are super garbage.....always have been! They are just Microsoft's Political Commissar's. They don't really have any technical ability to help anyone, and they shut-down any discussion that may be a bit 'awkward'. I wouldn't expect anything else from them really. It is obvious that even during the Twitch Sessions, Jayne has already discussed with them what questions she will ask, as they don't want to get questions they don't want to answer. What happened to any communication about the tile swapping issue, or the DX12 problems? Too difficult to answer? Probably not, but they just don't want to be asked those kind of questions. I have worked for some big organisations, and was a lacky myself, so I know how it works, and we shouldn't be fooled in any way. A lot of it is just a chance to hype their marketing, and close down any discussion on difficult issues. Just tell people everything is rosy and will be even better very soon. Just like all of our politicians really. The thing is though, on the official forum, it is their game - their rules, just like any forum, so there is nothing that can be done about it. It is the other forum members that make it, and they are the most helpful of course. Here at Avsim, the moderators have helped people quite a lot at times. October 2, 20232 yr SU14 Beta should start around early November I would think, to give about 6 weeks of testing before the holiday. I am looking forward to more fixes / improvements as well as the atmospheric changes. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). October 3, 20232 yr I think it's always best to wait at least 12-24 hours after a SU as a precaution. I've done this for most sim updates and have never had any issues.

While I do the same, that's still not an excuses for SUs.... This is a product that customers PAID for to patch and install correctly. And they understandably don't want to troubleshoot stuff they did't break themselves. And by the way: What exactly did they break with the SU13 installations? I didn't experience any issues. Anyone with pc gaming/modding experience knows why MS/Asobo has that firm stance on tweaking an exe and we aren't really serious in blaming them for said stance. It's an inside joke, there isn't anything to prove nor defend here... As far as the SU13 issues if you really have to ask, just don't worry about it.
