I take it if I’ve all ready edited the .exe, I can just dump the backup copy back in, remove the edited one and then use this new script?

Yes, that's it.  This new way is much safer as it doesn't modify the .exe in any way, plus you can play with the coefficients, and turn it on and off at will.

It is also easy to reverse - just remove the three files from the folder if you don't want it any more.

@Drunq has done a cracking job!

I can't test it myself yet until I get home this evening, but it will be the first thing I do, probably with the alternative (less green) coefficients.

Just tested the new version, it's working fine. It's amazing to see the change in game with the toggle. Thank you Drunq, great work.

I unprotected the folder a while before this thread for other reasons I don't remember now.  I had to use the complex windows system to do it, and had to go in and out of the security tab a few times if I remember before I could get it to stick.  Using the windows method, you might also have to go up the folder structure a bit to take control of a higher folder, and select all subfolders and files.

It wasn't difficult, it just took a few minutes, and you can find plenty of help if you Google it (other search engines are available ).

There is a difference but for my eyes it remains coloring book. It's 2023...if it's really not possible to have a realistic sky and brightness in this ultra modern simulator ...What do we have left besides bing Map which is also far from perfect in its color representation and resolution...

Both photos are ugly.

Sure there is still room for improvement, but it is already a huge progress towards "realism" as far as visual fidelity goes.

I would not call it "ugly" in any case !

It's the least we can say, it may be missing a layer of pink and blue.

Sometimes the skies are ugly... 😎

I guess we should not feed the troll, but sarcasm aside, I have seen real dusk pictures which were pretty close to the modded picture.

Doesn't exist on my PC unfortunately. XboxGames is an empty folder.
