I have seen real dusk pictures

so did he (Turner), 200 years ago. HDR, 8K, no shaders, only 1 fps. same sky can be different to different people 😊

Thanks but have tried this before as well. Can't seem to get read/write access for the folder. Very frustrating

Have you tried the suggestion of @turbomax?

Maybe the XboxGames will populate after this? Or it could be that it's located on the C:\ drive

I guess we should not feed the troll, but sarcasm aside, I have seen real dusk pictures which where pretty close to the modded picture.

This. Don't feed him.

I see roughly what time of day it is but where is it on bing Map?

I don't care about your accusations, I prefer this color of sky.

I guess it's XP right ? It sure looks impressive, but I am sure MSFS, at the right time of day, with an Nvidia color filter, can look pretty close. Anyway, I'm not here to discuss which sim is better, but MSFS is making a huge step forward thanks to Biology's work.

Has anyone tried to replicate that color of sky in MSFS whilst experimenting with the coefficients?

Is there a huge difference between:

[COEFFICIENTS]
RED = 0.00508
GREEN = 0.00318
BLUE = 0.0

and

[COEFFICIENTS]
RED = 0.002723
GREEN = 0.001831
BLUE = -0.000083096

I just downloaded the newest upload and dropped it in. The results are nice, but can't quite tell a difference....

Even with Nvidia Freestyle which I squeezed like a lemon I couldn't do it, the problem is at the root. Nvidia Freestyle cannot improve every situation. Which is why this makes it completely obsolete.

"I'm not here to discuss which simulation is better,"

That doesn't stop you to start one discussion anyway... Comparisons are an integral part of our daily lives.Unless you're an impressionable child, what else are you risking? There are non-essential things I like about MSFS and essential things I hate. It's the same for X Plane as well.

The MSFS sky gives the impression that it is not infinite but that it stops not very far from my plane with a whitish luminous glare of the worst effect. A sky without depth.And it happens in the most modern simulator... but MSFS is making a huge step forward thanks to Biology's Work.That even excuses mediocrity.MSFS is average in many areas, sky color is unfortunately one of them. We shouldn't even have discussed it 3 years later because it should have been mastered from the start.

Here is a little color,  subtlety and finesse although there is also room for work here .

Losing my time in endless discussions. The whole point of this topic is to improve MSFS sky color rendering especially during golden hours. We started with an in-depth "proof of concept" thanks to Biology, and we now have tools to simplify the process (ARPC injector and now Memory injector). It's quite exciting to have such a thread, especially considering Asobo is actively listening to the community. Words like "ugly", "child", "mediocrity" are all fuel to start the XP/MSFS comparison V12 Merlin Engine 😆

No offense but those last X-Plane 12 shots are terrible, the sky colour in the first and last photo make no sense to me, they don't look nice at all, last one is some weird, deep ashen grey with enough colour banding to cut your fingers on.

best if we all put trolls on our ignore list and pretend nothing had happened.
