The results are nice, but can't quite tell a difference.... I found the original calculations to be very dramatic. Maybe it's personal taste but the distinct ridge of green above the horizon wasn't for me. Alvega's coefficient numbers dampen that effect and it looks better in my opinion. October 9, 20232 yr Come on now Filou. You have eaten enough goats for today (and probably with a lot of sauce). It's time for you to go back under the bridge until you are needed again. You make some good points actually. I understand your points about the luminance, and what is required to make the sky look more real, but please don't derail our little thread and get it closed down - we were enjoying it! If it can relax your jaw from time to time, great, I'm happy with it! .Because to say that the sky is ugly even after the improvement made It derails your little habits? This story of sky and color does not make me happy even after these improvements. ''You make some good points actually. It would be nice if someone, like @Biology maybe, could briefly explain what the numbers mean, and why some have more 'numbers' in than others for example. The number for Blue at the bottom has ten digits in it . Does the 096 at the end really make much difference? Edited October 9, 20232 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). Nothing can derail me that easily. It seems some people are fine with slowly inching forwards, whereas you seem to want giant strides to perfection - good luck with that! I am happy to be thrown a little fish from time to time to be happy with. Like another famous Frenchman once said, 'the Seagulls follow the Trawler'. As for what is wrong with your arguments, on the realistic look of the sky regarding luminance / lighting etc. - nothing, as I implied above, but in this thread, we are simply talking about the colours getting a bit closer to reality; the overall lighting effect is another matter, and cannot be fixed by the subject of this thread. I think people understand that, and there is a lot of work still to be done in that area. Still, 2024 is only just around the corner!
