Thanks, and after I’ve done that step, what next?

Did you modify the exe with the new values from this video? You will need to download a hex editor such as HxD. Once you finished with this step, locate your original FlightSimulator.exe and rename it to whatever, and then copy over the modified exe and voila. Start up the sim and enjoy the beautiful and amazing new sky colors!

Great so I’ve done all of the steps and now I am testing

one question, do I have to go back to the original exe during updates or not?

I can't answer that because I was in the beta so I had no update, only someone who was not in the beta and was using the hack can answer that.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Woahhhh that looks way better that the corrected colors in X-Plane. Just goes to show MSFS does indeed have the superior lighting engine once all of the parameters are correct. The second pic is my favorite.

There are a lot of people in this thread who care about what the simulator looks like at sunset. Perhaps some of you have found how to make the evening cities of the apocalypse more alive. City lights are turned off almost until sunset

This hack seems to definitely enhance the lights as well or maybe folks have different bloom settings, not sure.

Some are also using Nvidia filters, or Reshade.
